At exactly 230,001 Miles the engine will explode guaranteed.

It will probably blow up as soon as you buy it
^Dam you beat me to it lol. I would imagine anyone buying a car like that, would be buying it with the expectations of having to do a lot of work to it. FWIW I bought my s14 with 247K+ on it, the motor was changed but still the original transmission and running gear otherwise. It ran great and now I'm gonna boost the piss out of it and see how much more it will take. It's all in how well it was/is maintained

Who cares really, L series engines are cheap as fuck. An NA RB with rb26 itb's, trumpets and straight through exhaust would be boss as well though.

whats the condition of the rest of the car? how's the rust in the floorboards, under the hatch, doors, etc. how's the paint. hows the structural integrity of the body (besides the rust.)
if youre buying a car with that many miles, dont have high expectations. but do expect to either rebuild or replace that motor soon, so account for that in your budget (at least $1000)
has the motor ever been replaced or rebuilt? hopefully it's been rebuilt at least once by now.

Blah blah blah.
Check the compression of the engine and test drive the car.
DONE.
