hey guys so idk if anyone has asked this but i was searching and couldnt find someone that has. so i want to go lower and i have already maxed out my coilovers and removed my collars, i was wondering if anyone has ever flipped the bracket at the botton of the coilover to go lower in the front. here is a pic of a coilover, the bracket labled (iron bracket) is the one im talking about lol...
well if anyone has an answer or if anyone has done it can you please let me know, thank you in advance guys :l101::l101::l101::l101::l101::boink:

what coilovers do you have now?
PBMs go super low.
-you can get drop spindles
-you can raise the shock tower mount
-and yeah you could cut off and reweld that bracket. idk if it's been done or what the outcome but idk why not.

i would say your best bet is to get coilovers that let you go lower, as long as you can stand the ride. thatd be the least laborious route

I had them too. Bracket threads on the other way. However, i just dealt with it because roll center, bump steer and my framerails were already shot to shit when i got my car...
These days i'm all about performance over looks so i'd do what hotboiblaze suggested and get drop spindles. Better handling, roll center correction, low center of gravity and best of all you get that hot drop you're after. $1k is all it'll take. Save that paper son.

I saw a guy use cut up drive shafts for suspension one time. His car was super dumped.

i don't understand why you didn't just take one coilover off and try flipping the bracket, takes like 3 mins.

Ive seen a few people flip the lower mounts. You might have to redrill the upper hole because of the camber built in to the mount itself. Not sure if D2's have this though.
Seems safe enough, the bracket to hold your brake line will just be upside down.

Flip the bracket slot the upper hole. Shit's been done forever.
Basic knowledge.

You could always swap out the springs for shorter ones in the same rate and diameter.

But that cost money...the cheap way is the new zilvia way.
Also, dont forget to take the bottom collar off and put it on the bottom instead.

No thanks. I like having a suspension stroke. Which means room for the wheel to go... If only you tried road racing your car. You'd appreciate what I am talking about.
