It could be a #### of alot cooler but I have no time to do shit. I will try getting around to doing the dynamic profiles and member pages so we can all post our cars on the site with pictures and a list of mods and keep it up to day through the webpage and a login. I need to email the nice zilvia.net member who was cool enough to valenteer to help out with that since im no ASP master <img src="#/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

Well said gentlemen. I'd been browsing around 240sx sites for a month before I stumbled on here. No more staying up to the wee hours of the morning looking for information :-) West, as everybody else has already mentioned, you kick ass.

As far as what I'd like to see on the site. . . &nbsp;uh. . . just an expansion to the Rides section :-)

I recommend this site to everybody I meet (online and offline). &nbsp;I have learned so much about my car, and everyone here seems to have kinda become friends and family. &nbsp;It's really great that everybody has their area of expertise, and is willing to help everybody out when someone hits a rough time (personal and mechanical). &nbsp;Thanks Mark!

Also, a member list with links to profile, # of posts, membership date, email, or whatever would be kinda cool and helpful...like you could get someone's email address w/o them having to be logged on...we could see who has the most posts...or whatever. &nbsp;What do you think?

It's so helpful and informative, organized, cool and all that other good stuff. I only have one teeny tiny suggestion: I'm really not a big fan of stickers at all, but I would love to put a Zilvia.net sticker on my lil' 240. Because well, this site kicks ass and everyone is so nice and I usually get dissed when it comes to car things because I'm a girl, but well... you guys are so nice, as Lauren said. So, stickers?

That is another great thing about your site, Mark. s13grl and I aren't made fun of when we ask questions. I've had quite a few crude comments made to me on freshalloy (although it is a good site, some members are just #### disrespectful). Maybe you're just lucky to have great members that respect everyone for what we know (and don't know), instead of what our bra size is.

I would also like to know how to get 1 or 2 small zilvia.net stickers, if possible.

What sort of crude things could they have to say to you? I personally am quite impressed with how much both of you know, definitely more than me <img src="#/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>. Anyhow, more congrats West on putting up not only one of the most informative, but one of the friendliest forums I've been on.

As far as stickers go, though I am not a fan of them, if I see a tasteful design I might consider it *goes to picture a zilvia.net sticker on his car*

I installed my exhaust on my 240 and of course, my heat shields cracked up. I went to a muffler shop, told them that my heat shields are loose and that I want them taken off of the car. The guy who I talked to gave me this nasty, rude attitude and told me that the rattling was not my heat shields and that he would inspect it and see what it was. Being the smartass that I am, I told him to raise the car up and showed him exactly where they were lose and I was right. Then I told him to lower the car and I went to another shop. There, they thought it was interesting that I had a big muffler and drove a stickshift, so they didn't charge me anything. But some guys are just plain rude and nasty, and as Lauren said, first look at how round my behind is and what size bra they think I wear before listening to what I'm asking.

I'm having the same difficulties with a shop right now. &nbsp;Unfortunately, since my car wouldn't make it to another shop I had to leave it where it is. &nbsp;The mechanic told me that the shaft for my clutch master cylinder is broken, so he wanted to replace that AND my clutch at the same time, along with my slave cylinder and the estimate was going to be somewhere around $1100-$1200. &nbsp;I drove down there in the rental and asked for proof that every bit of that went out w/o any warning at all because I didn't believe them. &nbsp;I wanted to see exactly what was broken on my car, including the clutch. &nbsp;I informed him that the clutch never slipped and it grabbed before even halfway up, so there was no way my clutch went bad in 1 hour. &nbsp;The tech then told me, &quot;well, maybe your clutch doesn't need to be replaced. &nbsp;I can't look at it w/o taking the other parts off, so um.....um.....&quot; &nbsp;I laughed and told him to only replace the master cylinder and slave cylinder. &nbsp;Then he tried to let me know that I have 2 oil leaks. &nbsp;I said, &quot;let me guess--front cover and oil pan gasket? &nbsp;And NO--don't fix those.&quot; &nbsp;He looked so surprised when I informed him that they only start to seap after about 2000 miles after an oil change, but I check my oil once a week, and change my own oil with full synthetic and a Nissan filter every 3000 miles. &nbsp;I love dealing with mechanics!

If it weren't for you guys and the guys on www.midwest240sx.com, I would probably be spending about $1100 to get my car out of the shop tomorrow. &nbsp;Thank you all for your ideas and tips for what went wrong with my clutch.

Some mechanics are easy to deal with. Some are such assholes. I don't know why do they assume they can rip people off so easily. But this little zilvia.net club of mechanics is I think very nice. So, once again, spank you, West.

Hey, Lauren, why didn't you use this opportunity and get an aluminum flywheel and a clutch upgrade?

I may do that when I get the clutch replaced. &nbsp;I just don't have the money to do that right now. &nbsp;My insurance is due next month, along with rent, car payment, and a flight to Illinois for a wedding. &nbsp;My car problems always come up at the worst time!

so what kind of rotors did you end up buying? &nbsp;i've been desperately searching for some good rotors as mine are at the end of their lives. &nbsp;they cannot be resurfaced anymore. &nbsp;i was hoping to replace them with slotted rotors, but not sure where to purchase from.

First of all, you need to lay off the &quot;240sx.org Sucks&quot; bit...It's a different type of website. &nbsp;Zilvia is great, and I give thanks to Mark and everyone involved in keeping the site running...BUT there is no need to go saying another site sucks just because you didn't like it. &nbsp;Shawn has had 240sx.org around for a quite a long time. &nbsp;No offense to anyone here, but the 240sx.org mailing lists have much more knowledgable members, perhaps due to experience and age. &nbsp;I know that there are a few of us here that are also on the 240sx.org lists, and I'm sure that they know what I'm talking about. &nbsp;I feel that comparing the two is not really plausible because they are two different things. &nbsp;Oh well...to each his own...

I've always liked the lists better than any web-based forum. &nbsp;You can either set it up for digest mode, where it compiles all the messages into one large email, or have it just send each email individually. &nbsp;Some people just don't like scrolling through all the mail, so they prefer forums. &nbsp;I personally don't mind, because I just look at the title of the email, and if the topic doesn't interest me I just delete it. &nbsp;Not too much chatter on them either.

well I am on both lists 240sx.org, socal240sx, as well as being here. 240sx.org does have some knowledgable people it also sometimes does not show the kind of interest in posts that show up here as well as there. I posted about my friends 95 with the RB25 in it and you guys appreciated it. On 240sx.org no one responded. i think they are kinda of jaded thats all. I am not dissing &nbsp;them. Anyways props out to Mark he does do a good job here and yes I will keep on being on all of them.
