Painted calipers and bleeding brakes

I've just finished painting a set of calipers for my s13. Is there anything I can do to the caliper to protect the paint from peeling from brake fluid contact during the bleeding process ?

put a piece of vacuum tube onto the bleed screw so it directs where the fluid drips out.

What I'm trying to say is when you remove the hose, there's always a few drips from the bleeder. Maybe tape up the calipers with painters tape, or wax them ? I don't know

masking will do. It should only be a drop or 2 that will fall down. I just wipe it away quickly.

oh lordy... put a shop towel underneath the hose when you pop it off the bleeding screw so it catches the excess fluid. then wash with water to neutralize the caliper when your done!

Unfortunately it won't take long for the paint to look lousy anyway. I considered painting my Q45 calipers when I did the swap on my s13, but decided against it.

Not true, depends on the type of paint and how well you prep it.

I painted mine with Caliper paint form Autozone a few years ago and it still looks good, especially since i never clean them as well unless the Pressure washer happens to hit it.

Powder coating is the best. Lasts the longest and will always look like the day you painted them.
