so i bought fittings for my turbo, IHI VN14 (power enterprise 1420)

the oil drain port used an 8an fitting, but the fitting on my block is a 10an

would it be okay if i used this- the 8AN to 10AN adapter which will connect to my block..?

Yeah that's fine, it's basically a reducer. Just make sure you have enough clearance because that reducer will add like 1/2 to like 3/4 inch more length to the connection.

I would suggest changing the fitting on your turbo to -10 as well to keep that oil flowing the fuck out. I believe OEM drain is 5/8. -10 line is (10/16). Simplify 10/16 you get 5/8.

Boom.

Listen to this man.

You can buy NPT to AN conversion fittings readily. It'd be silly to use that reducer in-line because you'd end up needing x4 AN fittings instead of x2 fittings.

well i'm also running an oil restrictor on it...1.5mm

8an fittings is what the turbo uses on Z33 TT set-ups, i figured it would be fine, no?

what size NPT would a 10an be?

I have an IHI VN14 turbo.

i'm using this oil drain-

which type of 8an to 5/8 fitting would i need?

Usually when people run drains to npt thread it's 1/2 npt... Honestly u could get away with an 8an... If u already have it, and it's draining properly ... But if u did not have anything I would have also said 10an, I personally have a 8an.. Wotks well.

i think it will be alright... oil feed with a restrictor, i suppose i won't need an oversized drain.

If you are running a restrictor, you don't need an oversized drain. I have an unrestricted feed w/ a -10an drain.

thank you.

so i took off the fitting on my oil drain- it's a 10AN into a NPT...

anyone know what NPT fitting size it is? i ordered an 8AN to 10AN fitting, and it's not going to fit.

i'll need a 8AN to ____ NPT

is it 1/2?

Are you talking about the NPT on the block? Pretty sure it is 1/2".
