It's true!

I scored an OBX Stainless Header on e-bay for $200 shipped and a Stainless OBX Catback for $273 shipped.

They've made a huge performance difference and produce a great sound.

The header fitted perfectly, quality is excellent, did I mention it's Stainless? Even the best paint or coating gets scraped and abused during install, not stainless, it'll outlast the car. And yes, I know OBX is a low-line brand, but a Tri-y is a Tri-Y.

The Catback install was not as cheery. The fuckstick on ebay named aileroneone shipped me either the wrong one or a knockoff. Of course he wouldn't make it right. I had to cut 2 15/16" out of it's length and relocate all the hangers. But, its stainless!

It looks awesome, sounds great and has made a big difference in output.

Doesnt the OBX header sell normally for $150?

Yeah, now.

But back in Nov. they were over two bills, not including a hefty shipping charge.

Normaly OBX is crap, but their headers I know come from the same Factory as Hotshot, im picking up some of those on ebay when I get around to it

how do you know?

To me, it looked like a copy of the Hotshot, only in stainless. I was skeptical of the OBX brand also, you would not believe the weld & material quality of the header.

No photos for awhile. Sound bites are not possible.

At idle, it sounds incredible, low. On acceleration it gets loud. Sadly, around 65mph the exhaust seems to find a naturally disturbing frequency that becomes annoying after awhile. But far better than the fartlike sound of some Hondas. Above 70 or below 60 it's fine.

I bought an obx a while back as well, after about 2000 miles, all i have is good results. Mine is on sohc. only problem i found was that the o2 sensor location put it right up against the firewall, easily fixed. Fit well, finish is still nice, great power gain (im using it on fully built 2.5l). two thumbs up

btw. i got pictures of it if anyone wants to see

yea, i have them for 150 now.. since you guys say they go for that ;) anyway.. I dont know why everyone says OBX is crap.. When I owned my frist shop way back when I tryed them since I have seen arospeed and apc and all that first hand and was not impressed.. everything I ordered from OBX for my buy-in looked great... I have sold maybe a 100 mufflers from them and everyone was always happy.. and I love their shift knobs.. they are very heavy and big.. but anyway.. thats why i am selling their parts again on my new site.. Im still working on adding the turbo parts and Border Racing in Japans parts... But I would never sell anything I saw first hand and thought it was wasnt worth it..

im glad your happy with your parts.. Its annoying when people post threads and dog products they have not tryed...
