first of all i have a sr20det

I would like to know if anyone has actually installed a hose fitting or something else into their hotpipe as a means for the vacuum to the wastegate? i seen some people on different forums drill a 1/8 npt to the turbo outlet pipe instead, would either one of these work which would you choose
thanks

just get a t-hose barb connector and cut on of your vac lines and run it from their. its simple no need to drill anything.

I don't know why.everyone thinks its ok to t off a vacuum line. internal waste gates aren't supposed to see vacuum and is clearly shown in vacuum diagrams. weld in a nipple to the hotpipe, that's how I have mine setup.

If you want to run it to the manifold just run a one way check valve. Wastegates need a BOOST source.

sorry to get in the thread but this is how I have mine set-up. do I need to change anything on it?

I'm using option 2. is it right?

i drilled a hole one of the couplers on my hotpipe then used this for my actuator

Turbo Quick Tap Fitting for Boost Source (http://www.frsport.com/Turbo-Quick-Tap-Fitting-for-Boost-Source_p_7854.html)

works great. the closer the line to the actuator the faster it responds
