i have a 95 s14 se im so confused! my vin code says i dont have lsd. but it was raining tonight, so i took the car out. if i am turning and give the gas a snap it slides out super easy! but if i just roll into it, pass side just spins. also if im going straight about 20 mph and punch it, rear end will sway back in forth like both are spinning. i know everyone and there brother has asked this question but will someone please help. thank you
btw i have done hours and hours of research, im not just being lazy

of course the back will slide out in the rain, regardless of lsd or open diff...

could be a worn vlsd.easiest way look at case for orane sticker.... if not take cover off if u see mini gears on the sides of he big ring one its an open. if the whole thing inside of that big ring is pretty much solid/cylinder its an lsd

also one last thing . know its bad to do but auto trans is not staying so today it was dry out. so i let it hit rev limiter and neutral bombed it and for about a foot both tires spun, than just pass side did? would it do that if its open diff?

Open diff a open will spin both tires if u have the same amount of traction on both rear wheels

OP, you won't even have to open the cover to check.
Put the rear end on jack stands and spin the right wheel with your hands. If both wheels turn in one direction, it's a VLSD pumpkin. Assuming that it's an OEM LSD unit.
If the left wheel doesn't spin or goes in the opposite direction, it's an open differential.
And to me, it sounds like you just have an open diff.

try to do a donut and have someone watch, jk jack the rear up and keep it out of gear, spin one wheel and the other should spin the same way,if it is its lsd if it spins the other direction it open but all se are lsd factory regardless

No not all SE's are had VlSDs. Mine is one that didn't. I didn't have to guess I have the sales receipt from the original owner and she did not opt for the option.
Op look at it like this, even if you had a stock vlsd by now it would be worn out. I say don't worry about it and save up for a nice 1.5 diff.

Wrong, it was an option and it came as a package deal with ABS.
