Why is it that this board does not accept major email providers....but yet every other board that I have ever been on never has any problems....it's kind of annoying that we can't have our main email address in my case AOL...in our profile...now I am forced to use one that I never check.....

how does that help prevent it....there are tons of email providers...if that was there goal it would be easy to create a new account.....that's why we have IP addresses.....ban IP's if people are creating multiple accounts and you don't like it.... :-/

i said 'HELPS' not 'prevents'. Zilvia.net email accounts are probably not included.

Ok, real reason is because AOL, Yahoo, Hotmail, Mail.com, etc etc etc... all seem to block the activation emails sent by our server to activate your accounts.

When you get 40-60 registrations a day and half of them are those users and have problems guess who they come to. Getting 30 emails a day from users waiting for me to manually activate there accounts... I dont think so. Bye bye emails!
