I am decent when it comes to working on my own car....I am just wondering how much of a pain it is to work on these cars....I am thinking it has to be easier than my Mustang GT seems like there is a lot more room under the hood to get your hands...engine is half the size etc etc.......any opinions on this stuff.....

What repairs are royal PITA's? :hammer:

It's all relative. But, with the right tools you can do everything yourself. Well...tools and knowledge....and maybe some friends....yeah definitly friends. But there is a good amount of space to work with things in my opinion.

Engine bay seems pretty roomy, although I only have compared it to some Hondas.
Suspension wise, seems straight forward, others who have done more work can give you a better opinion.

I'd say clutch changins can be a big PITA. Otherwise, it's pretty easy to work on.

Then you have never dropped a FWD tranny! I finished my tranny swap just a few weeks ago and its remarkable how easy it is. Suspension stuff is cake. All the work I have done on my car has been on the floor with hand tools. I am a average skilled mechanic, maybe a notch above shadetree. Never had to do anything like timing or valve adjustment though, so the more serious stuff I can't comment on.

240s are mostly pretty easy I'd say.

i dunno might be hard compared to that primitive solid axle pushrod american hunk of steel, remember this one has technology..but as far as space and simplicity of a ka motor it makes it pretty easy....
