wiring s14 bose radio to s14 base model

hi i have a s14 bose cassette radio..it has 4 connectors...in which 2 of my factory radio connects too. The radio works fine, but sound is really shitty..no bass or clarity. How do i solve this?? I know s14 bose radios comes with amps too..can i install a aftermarket amp to this bose radio??
