So I went to install my hub and wheel. Researched beforehand and got good help. The bad part is I'm confused with putting in the horn. There's the hub, followed by the wheel, a circular plate pictured below, then the horn. I first assumed the button went underneath the plate, against the wheel. But because if the threaded stud and nut, it doesn't give the horn enough space. So then I figured the button went last. The problem is, it seems like its just a tad too big because it won't lay flush against the plate. Pictured below. Is it supposed to look like that, or am I doing something wrong?

Last question, I'm having trouble removing the hub again seeing as I didn't align it right and is slightly off to the side :( I tried to wiggle it back and forth like I did with the original wheel, but it's not budging. Should I just rent a steering wheel remover from the autoparts store? darn me for not making sure I got it right the first time

1. it wont work with the short hub, you need a regular hub or get a quick release.. but it should go wheel horn button then circle plate.

2. yes you need a steering wheel remover

Had I known that, I wouldn't of gotten the short hub. Granted, I was planning on buying a QR in the future, but still.

This happened to my buddy a while back when he was doing his steering wheel set-up too.. I happened to have just the item he needed to install his horn button and all, while retaining the NRG Short hub because its just awesome. No need to take apart/remove the short hub either, this is simply a 1" spacer with the hole pattern configured for MOMO, NRG, PERSONAL and NARDI steering wheels, and will simply go in-between your steering wheel and short hub. Also included are longer, grade 10.9 bolts required for installation. I no longer have use for it since I originally purchased two thinking I would need it, but it will work perfectly for your application/problem here. PMed you with details if you're interested in purchasing this thing off me.

Here's a picture of it:
