Yes, the exhaust is angled outward in N1 style, and is pictured in the post at the top of this thread on an S14. We look forward to picking up one for SystemQ's to install on an S13 as well!

80mm... its not like you CANT put it on an N/A car. matter of fact they sound DAMN good on NA cars. and with the size of the KA engine its not a bad exhaust. minimal low end losses good high end gains.

The exhaust is usable in N/A or turbo applications. It would be usable on a Silvia Q's (which is N/A), for instance, but the KA's larger displacement makes better use of the 80mm piping (as pointed out by Steeles). Of course, should you get a SR20DET later, this exhaust certainly wouldn't hurt you. ;)

I believe the idling decibel level is around 72-75 dB, while at 5000RPM noise levels go into the low 90s. This is of course for the exhaust without the silencer, and attached to a SR20DET. We don't have any sound samples of this exhaust, but will once it's here!

Driftguy is correct: if you're in the lower 48 states, the exhaust will cost you no more than US$365 shipped to your door ($320 for exhaust, $45 MAX for shipping to you). If our shipping estimate is wrong and it costs more than $45 to ship to you, we'll eat the difference. Of course, if you're in Texas, state sales tax will apply.

We'll ship via ground, so it's usually 5-7 working days to get from us to you. Historically, however, it doesn't take all of 5-7 days for it to arrive.

Uras exhausts aren't JASMA certified, so a silencer is what you'll need if you're concerned about noise levels (I posted dB ratings earlier in this thread).

It's a full catback, it'll bolt right up to the cat once you remove your stock exhaust, no welding.

Yes, Drew's comments underline what we stress in this group buy--or ANY JDM special order--that 4 weeks is a MINIMUM estimate for the arrival of the exhausts to the United States. Delays are more common than uncommon when buying products from Japan--those who have ordered JDM products are well-versed in the virtues of patience.

Our Tokyo office will do what it can to make sure the transaction goes smoothly, but we can only safely post a minimum time estimate to not shoot ourselves in the foot or disappoint our customers.

Unfortunately, we are required by the State of Texas to charge sales tax to customers in the state, like vendors of any other product to customers in their state. The sales tax only adds $26.40 to the price, which we give to the state at the end of the fiscal quarter, which in turn goes to fund state and local government and schools. So Texan group buyers help put money back into their state--you get an exhaust AND help out at the same time! ;)

First of all, don't try being an ass if you don't really know why I was asking the question in the first place. I do not live in a carb restricted environment like california, I live in Texas. Secondly, I attend medical school where sound ordinances are of the utmost concern and is of the most importance, since University Hospital is next door. If Japan has JASMA certified the product, the dean has stated that I can drive in that area without being fined. Look up their tolerated decibal level as per the JASMA recommendations. They are perfect for residential and/or medical areas. I recently purchased a Kei-Office exhaust for the S14 and it is JASMA certified and I use it for school daily. Silencers get stolen around here and taking it with me all of the time is out of the question.

Don't ever...tell me what I should or should not do without having a good idea of what or who you are talking about. Ignorance makes people look dumb, plain and simple.

I tell you what, why don't you go and talk to a POS pacesetter exhaust rep. and distribute their products and sell for astronomical prices like everything else goes for on your site.

Before you go telling me to how and what to buy, start sending in those rent checks and I will listen. I am not one of your average 16-19 year old demographics looking to be like their favorite japanese drifters.

The Uras RS exhaust is not JASMA certified, so noise levels are quite high. The decibel ratings listed earlier in this thread were measured when attached to an SR motor (mid to low 70s when idling, low 90s at 5000 RPM).

We've contacted a current owner of this exhaust and hope to have some sound samples soon!

I have the Apex'i N1 dual atm, but it seems to have developed an 8 inch crack in the resonator this week. It's 4 years old and has met with a couple speed bumps in its lifetime..

I know the N1 dual is over 95 decibels, so im wondering in comparison with the n1 dual....how much louder is this exhause going to be?

The exhaust should be louder in NA applications. The dB ratings for the Uras exhaust attached to an SR is around 90-92 dB at 5000 RPM.

I honestly can't say what the exhaust note is like, but we are working on getting audio samples from a current Uras RS exhaust owner, and will post them once they're available!

I have a URAS exhaust on my car. Its the only without any pre-silencer. IT's LOUD without the baffle. With the baffle its....a little quieter. I have a JDM Silvia with an SR20DET and no CAT. Just straight back from my turbo, which could be part of the reason. If you get one get one with the pre-silencer!! I like the exhaust!! When i come home at 3am, my neighbors hate it...LOL

The SS (not featured in this group buy) has the built-in resonator, so the Project Silvia straight pipe with resonator you mentioned earlier might be the way to go, so there will be at least a little sound suppression before entering the RS exhaust (featured in this group buy). Yeah well i saw on another forum that ran this group buy, someone mentioned they picked up the resonated test pipe in a group buy to use with this exhaust....so i checked it out and $80 is not bad at all. i'm going to order mine in like 2 weeks or something. Gotta wait awhile for the exhaust so i have plenty of time.

The orders will be placed immediately after the deadline (March 31), and then it takes a MINIMUM of 4 weeks to come back here. If you've ordered JDM parts direct from Japan, delays are not uncommon.

Barring any customs delays, in the past we've had boat shipments make it from Japan to our facility in 2-3 weeks. This is much shorter than the usual container shipment, which can take months. JDM buyers are used to waiting, but whenever possible we try to minimize it. Stay tuned!

BTW, all exhausts shipping in the 48 contiguous states are shipping via 3-day ground, so it won't be long, even if there's a delay! :)

Hi adoboboy,

Yes, the hangers are very different on the exhausts. The S13 exhausts should have two hooks only a few inches apart that angle upward and point in the same direction as the exhaust tip, kind of like horns or the quotation marks that annoying people do in the air. ;) The S14 hanger has one long side hanger that points toward the front of the car at its tip, and one stubby hanger that points in the same direction as the tip.

Yes, it would suck to have shipped the wrong exhausts to everyone! :bash:

We were actually quite pleased that the exhausts made it over in the shape they did, and they stood up quite well to the sea voyage--we're just glad to hand them over to you, they took up a ton of room!

As for Uras markings, there are none on the exhausts, just like in their product photos (website or paper catalog).

BTW, all exhausts should come with a plastic bag filled with gaskets and connecting nuts/bolts. We have ONE extra bag of these, so if you've double-checked your shipment and absolutely do NOT have the bag, let us know--we'll mail your bag to you immediately!

I see the same info. The waybills attached to each exhaust seem to be pretty accurate; the closest states to Texas (Oklahoma, for instance), were expected to receive their exhausts by Wednesday, which is exactly what happened. For the east and west coasts, I think most were predicted to arrive this weekend, give or take a day.

I got my exhaust on Friday(had no dings at all) and threw it on. On a stock KA it is very loud(they way I like it). It has a nice deep tone to it. I have yet to put the sinlencer in to see what it sounds like then. I might get some sound clip of it in the next couple days. But, I'd like to thank Satoshi for having a gb that ran so smoothly overall.

wow on my KA with the resonated test pipe the exhaust is way louder then my N1 duals. After like 3500 and more then half throttle it is pretty damn loud.

Now i need to look into a KA-T

Yeah, I tested mine out last night with and w/o the silencer on the KA. The silencer helps quite a bit. I'd say it's worth the few extra bucks. It's not as loud but still pretty deep. I like it better w/o the silencer, but I'm going to run with the silencer when I drive around town. Doesn't draw as much attention. Doesn't seem to have too much of an effect on performance, maybe a little better on my car since I've only got a CAI as of now. It'll be great later when I go turbo.
