s13 electrical problem
Alright I rebuilt my ka24de s13 and took the dash out and engine out along with the engine harness only. since I put the engine and harness back in I have been having trouble after trouble. well one i believe my ignition switch is shot, the oil light and the safety belt light is on with the key out. second problem is the starter relay not sure about a couple of the plugs some be swapped. but when i turn my key i get a click when I turn it but its inside the cabin. now im getting fuel to the rail and i wanted to know which ones is the return and the inlet top is where i have my pressure going to. and as for the starter 12v signal wire there are two yellow and black wires, is it the heavier guage wire? also my flip up lights are stuck up. Help I am a newb with this chassis,

It was auto. We bought it as a roller and have done everything to convert it to a manual car. Did the by pass but still acting up. Using the auto harness. Had to reinstall the harness back into the car.

You have bypassed the switch? Do your relays click?

Relays click. However we have 12v to the starter signal at all times. So we can not have the starter hooked up. Car had a switch to start the car. Trying to figure it all out.

I had the same problem, but you have something crossed take your upper harness and go through it. Anything else?

Also we have the same problem with dash lights staying on all the time. Ours being oil, seat belt, brake light. Also the head lights will come on but wont come up with the key in the run position.

Check your engine harness along with the relay harness, is your fuel level below I mean like way on the bottom of the trim?

Checked the harness over. Looking and checked everything. Also it has 0 gas in the car. Fuel pump fuse it pulled for now.

Well just went threw a nice long removal thread. Our top harness is right. Our problem looks like we are missing a few pigtails. Going to go threw in the day light. Also we are missing a ground from the engine to the body. So we will do that. Then its see what happens.

-You trace the BLK-WHT wire that comes from your Ignition Switch and would have gone to the Inhibitor Switch on your A/T Tranny. -Cut it at the Inhibitor Switch. -Your trace the BLK-YEL wire coming off the starter and it goes back to the Inhibitor Switch. -Cut it at the Inhibitor Switch. -Now solder and heatshrink the BLK-WHT wire to the BLK-YEL wire.
You no longer have any Inhibitor Switch or Clutch Interlock Switch, its a direct connection between IGN. Switch and Starter Motor.
