If you want to be assured that the transmission will be good enough/like new, rebuild it. Or buy a transmission, inspect everything, replace anything, etc. and get it in.
KA/SR transmissions aren't that strong but they sure can take a beating.

Z32 or Z33 trans.

Z32 or Z33 trans.
This is a great alternative if you want a 6 gear box and a stronger transmission (compared to the KA/SR tranny)

what is your reasoning? stock trans are cheap to come by and easy to rebuild. unless youre over 400whp i see NO reason to swap it

what engine are you running???
z32 trans is good but they are notorious for 4th gear grind.
z33 is an excellent choice, but also a bit more expensive.
expect to spend 1k for a z32 trans swap and possibly up to 1.5k for a z33.

VG, KA, and SR trannies are the same -_-

not true. the ka and sr can be interchanged if you swap bellhousings but the gearing is not identical between the two. if the same can be done with the z32 its news to me, and i don't see why anyone would be making bellhousing adapter plates for vg to sr if all you had to do is swap bellhousings.

dont we all. well get the motor done and set up first. i have a fully built sr with precssion 5558. ill be right about 400 on low boost and pump gas. stock trans and a spare in my shop just incase. from my perspective you have a lot more to research first before a trans.

Who and where are you getting parts to rebuild? I contacted a shop before for a rebuild and they told me just buy another one since they're a dime a dozen. Don't want to threadjack but Z33 seems to be the way to go if you want a reliable transmission that can hold the power.

just swap to my full race e85 motor (550rwhp) and paired it with a z33 trans.... thats the way to go, look around you can find z33 trans for cheap... bought mine with 50k miles for $350....

pix or ban.
even a z33 trans may have trouble with that much torque over time.
you may want to take a z33 trans, disassemble it, and then have the gears cryo treated and then wpc coated.

No you don't.
But research Z32 or 33 trans like we have ALL said. that is the best bet for your "future" build.
now go forth young zilvian and explore

Its funny how yall are throwing ideas in this thread but the OP is 17 and a fucking retard for not telling us what fucking engine it is.
I bet its a fucking Gallo 24 since thats the only engine that would put down those numbers!!! A Gallo 12 can't hang with those number without running out of blinker fluid.

i was kinda thinking the same thing, but for some reason i felt like being nice (ish), still waiting on pix of the engine, especially now that he's claiming to have 600+ ft/lbs from it...... :squintd:
