To die-hard Subaru guys, this is a textbook example of how to build a bugeye. I've owned the car for the better part of the past decade, and can account for all the work that has been done under the hood. I've recently rephased the top-end and replaced the turbo and injectors. The car runs unbelievably strong, especially for the automatic transmission, and conservative road tune at 18psi - once on the dyno, I've been told that the car should arrive in the neighborhood of 325-350whp. I've been babying her until she see's the dyno for bigger numbers, but she's a lot of fun when you let her open up.

As for any cons this car may have, there are a few couple very small dings (no bigger than your fingertip, honestly), the driver side front coilover has developed some mild knock when hitting hard bumps, and I've yet to do the head gasket / timing belt (which I'd take care of as a precaution before tuning for big WHP numbers - main reason I haven't gone in for my dyno tune yet). Again, I've babied this car as long as I've had it, so my apprehensions / precutions would be another person's oversights; just being honest. Also, since installing a new starter, it takes a few cranks for the car to start - I just ended up getting used to it. Car never fails to start, just not as immediate as it would have been stock. Might be a camshaft position sensor, even. Not sure. Hasn't raised an issue.

My plans, if I were to keep it, would have been to go E85 and hybrid, but I've lost interest. However, this car is surely the perfect platform for anyone looking to go that route themselves. I know I'm going to miss it!!

Feel free to contact for more / hi-res photos or with any further questions you may have about the car.

As far as trades are concerned, I will ONLY consider a 68-72 Chevy Nova or a well-sorted S13/S14 Nissan Silvia (roller + cash is preferable, as I'm interested in doing an LS1 swap, if I go that route) or any LSx swapped tuner (RX7, Silvia, etc.)

Thanks!

4EAT made to look like 5-speed lol

I had my transmission replaced, and in the process, the faceplate for the 4EAT column cracked to the point of being useless / annoying. Therefore, the solution to boot it was cheaper / more practical.

Anything else you'd like to add, cool guy?

I'm not being a dick about anything. Just responding accordingly to the attitude I was given. :bigok:

Besides, mine might be the only one on here asking a realistic / fair price for what I have. There's a lot of fanboy inflation going on in some of these threads...just sayen.

I can vouch for JohnnyWas if it helps. Cut this guy off in traffic to hear him punch it then asked if it's got a stock block when he wanted to rip my head off. Car sounded great.

Thanks! I love the sound of a boosted ELH Subaru.

Hahahaa. Thanks man. When was this? Has happened more than once! Haha

After owning the car for 8yrs, the novelty of the ULH wore off and I decided I'd rather make better power than "sound like a Suby." Not to mention, it sounds mean as hell! Totally different.

Maybe a month or two ago in Williamsburg getting onto the BQE. I crept up on the shoulder lane at a red light to get you to punch it before I went into your lane. Was in a tinted out IS300 (my avatar). Then asked you if it's a stock block & you said "twotwo"

First Autotragic suby I've seen with a FMIC... Whats the reason for holding off on a swap?

Ohhhh, I vaguely remember that. Was bringing the car back up to Yonkers.

The stock 5MT's are such dogshit, that if I were to do a swap, I'd go 6spd or PPG's -- but honestly, time and money were better spent building up a good boost platform, suspension, etc.

And unless you're launching the car all over the place, the 4EAT isn't that limited when driving around. Definitely a fast car - no doubt about it.
