Recently bought a 90 240sx from...to be nice...an idiot. To make along story short here is what ive done so far and the problems

#1- bought it, even though it ran a little rich and it seemed that it bogged down a little when you first get on the gas (thought maybe it was because of the supposed upgraded injectors, which i doubt it has)

#2- put in fuel cleaner, made a custom intake

#3- replaced fuel filter with a z32 one, and RAN LIKE A CHAMP for a day, no bogging hesitation or anything

#4- that night I changed the oil and filter 10w-30 synthetic. Lowered car and turned the key, nothing -_-. waited awhile and tried again. it started, but did not idle well and wanted to stall. also noticed a little fuel coming out exhaust

#5-changed spark plugs (ngk) and cleaned the injectors and re sautered a loose wire/connection on injector #2. fixed fuel out of exhaust problem

#6- ran fine for a little while after, but developed problems. engine ran rough at idle, slight knocking sound, sometimes didnt want to start, and when it did it reeked of fuel when it finally started

#7- engine began missing afterwords, stopped at autozone for new sparkplugs (autolight). put them in, car didnt start. Lol. after alot of frustation i noticed that the power from the positive terminal on battery was alittle loose. Car started, but ran rough

#8-removed the custom intake back to stock setup, and ran perfect. like perfect idle, no bogging, rich anything. next day i go to start it and it barely ran. checked spark and plugs 1 and 2 were not firing and the plugs had oil on the tip, which prevented them from firing

This is the problem im stuck with. How would oil be getting on the tips of the plugs? already checked all the visible gaskets and i see no leaks anywhere, so it has to be internal. Would i have to replace valve seals or something? Any help would be appreciated since i dont want to waste too much money on this thing and dont want to basically do a rebuild if i dont have to. Thanks!

BTW already checked MAF, no vacuum leaks, its getting spark, everything appears to be grounded correctly

did you do a compression check?

no i have not...probably should
although today i found that the #2 fuel injector wire was broken of the connector, which was causing it to get no fuel at all. also changed the first 2 plugs since they were bad from oil. after doing all this its running (well idling) nicely. after letting it idle for about 5 mins i pulled the plugs out to inspect them and they had little to no oil on them, so would a faulty injector have been causing the problem? would that have any correlation to oil on the plugs you think? thanks

A faulty injector can cause the problems you have been having however, im not sure how the oil got in there :/

what engine do you have? the stock sohc, or is it swapped to a dohc? if it is the dohc, check the valve cover gasket. if the spark plug hole gasket is bad, oil will leak into the spark plugs, and when you pull a plug out, the oil that was sitting on the outside of the plug will drip into the spark plug tip. you did not mention that the exhaust smokes a lot so im assuming you are not burning oil.

its the SOHC. and the headcover gasket doesnt appear to be leaking any. it does smoke a little on startup, but i figured it might be since it has a 3" straight pipe.

Should be able to find them anywhere. They're the top-feed style on SOHC and side-feed style on DOHC.

No problem. Here's a writeup I found: 240sxONE Tech » Blog Archive » How To: Make an Injector Pigtail or re-wire a connector (http://tech.240sxone.com/506/how-to-make-an-injector-pigtail-or-re-wire-a-connector/)

Search for "ka24e injector pigtails" in google if you have the SOHC motor.

EDIT: After a bunch of searching, I can't say I have definitive answer about what'll fit your motor. You could take one of the injectors with you to a junkyard and start trying to plug it into various harnesses. If you're lucky you'll find a 240sx with the same engine, or something compatible.
