I just swapped over to my JDM cluster and installed the USDM millage odometer while I was at it. Put red bulbs and modified the clock to be in red.
I have 2 of the lenses now, both are not near perfect, far from it, just wanted to know if there is a way to clean or polish em out. They got kinda foggy from cleaners used previously on the dash board.

cool.
My clock looks pimmp!! matches my stereo head unit.
You have to take apart the whole cluster, remove the clock stuff, there is going to be a white/blue strip that is behind the clock LCD (the bulb shines on it). Just remove that lil plastic strip, sand off the blue side (it will wear down to white). Then I just took some red model spray paint (I guess anything will do, as long as you get it red on just 1 side). As long as the piece remains transparent somewhat so light can shine thru it, you will be good to go.
Looks sooo coool!! I got the JDM cluster in, I swapped the US millage odometer in it... (#1 reason that was holding me back from swapping the jdm cluster was the fact that the odometer was in Kilometers.)
Oh yah, I used VDO light condoms or whatever... I still got the part numbers if anyone wants em. About 5 big ones, then 3 little ones. or something like that.

NOVUS plastic polish buy all three
start at three and work your way up (depending on condition you may be able to start at two)
this is by far the best plastic polish i have used and have restored a lot of gauge lenses with it some as old as 25 years sitting out and beat to shit they always come out looking better than new
can you PM me with the P/N s from VDO for the condoms?

I can attest to the NOVUS products. I bought an old, old, old Alpine headunit and the plastic cover over the lcd screen had a 1/2 inch long scratch on it. You could actually take a fingernail to the scratch and feel the groove, that's how deep it was. Tried other plastic polishes and they didn't do a thing.
Anyways, used the NOVUS system and the scratch disappeared completely. I got mine at a bike shop. Good luck!
