ka24e and compression

so its been running weird lately.. when i start it it whines to start. and idles at around 500 until it picks itself up to 800. and when i come to a stop it wants to die. unless i give it gas.. the idle also surges to about 2k when stopping other times. i did a compression test and cyl1 and 4 read 155 and 2 and 3 read 150. but i noticed two plugs werent screwed tight and snug.. any help?

what is it that you are trying to ask? i did a compression test on my sohc 2 weeks ago and they were 165-170 psi with the throttle body closed. your numbers are on the low side but your engine has probably have way more miles than mine.

if i need a rebuild or just invest in a dual cam.
and the heads were rebuilt.. but not the long block
