I don't understand how your rears end up that way. I have battle versions and it clears my fortune auto dreads perfectly fine. Did you try putting back your stock one for comparison?

Is that a helper spring? Take it out then and see if that gives you the clearance you need.

S14 style ruca's only work on thinner/newer style coilovers. As far as Tein's go, they usualy never work on those. I had Tein Flex on a PBM ruca and it was rubbing. HR's are too thick.

This.

If that fails, it's possible that they are inverted, on the wrong side, or just faulty.

But in BV's defense, I've installed their RUCA's on a lot of my friends' S13's/S14's and fitment was fine. And since you challenged the companies quality, BV is a very reputable company that puts out good products that won't necessarily rape your wallet.

try this. switch what you have on the left side to the right side. i think not too long ago someone started a thread about a similar problem and this was what was suggested and it fixed the issue.

thanks to everyone's suggestions. I will try switching sides tomorrow evening. I will post what i find out.

I am sure i could solve this with removing the helper spring, but i would like to keep it in there if it is possible. I just don't like the idea of having your spring flop around when the shock is fully extended, over bumps.

update... switching sides with the arms did nothing. they are identical and the curved tube is perpendicular to the flange that mounts to knuckle. does anyone know what coilovers clear these

Everything that doesn't have helper springs lol.

Take out the helper spring. Your spring will not float around if you move the locknut up like you are supposed to. Or sell the BV and buy something else.
