HI guys I have built a few cars, but I am a Nissan Noob.

400HP 1978 Ford Mustang II

A KLZE Swap (197HP V6) 1994 Mazda 323

I just bought a 80% finished Lotus 7 Replica. It had a :hey: 8V Toyota Corrolla engine in it when I bought it. I bought a S13 SR20DET & trans to swap into it.

The stock intake and exhaust manifolds would not fit in the car so I bought An ISIS intake and ebay Top mount manifold and turbo adapter. A bottom mount turbo was not possible due to space limitations

The stock turbo had seen better days, so being as I am poor and cheap, I bought a ISIS replacement turbo for it.

*ISIS T25/T28 Replacement Turbo - Nissan SR20DET - Enjuku Racing Parts, LLC (http://www.enjukuracing.com/products/%2AISIS-T25%7B47%7DT28-Replacement-Turbo-%252d-Nissan-SR20DET.html)

Now for my noob questions:

ISIS claims 275HP is possible with this Turbo.

What supporting parts would a noob need to go with this turbo to get 275HP?

I have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and an Aeromotive Stealth 340 fuel pump, a Vibrant manual boost controller and a WRX intercooler so far.

Will the stock injectors, stock ECU, and stock MAF be capable of 275HP?

I am not too concerned about reaching 275HP as the car only weights 1800LBS, just thinking if it is relatively cheap and easy to get it up to 275hp out of my junk, why not?

This is a low / no budget build, so keep that in mind with your replies :D

What a Lotus 7 should look like (hard to tell looking at my pile of parts):

Bigger injectors (550cc), Z32 MAF upgrade and some kind of tuning. Cheapest option would be a rom tuned ECU.

Anyways, if you're using a top mount log type manifold, why didnt you just get a cheap T3/T4 turbo on ebay? That way, you wouldnt have to fuck with the T3 to T2 flange adapter.

Well it is a long story. I bought the car with the plan of putting a 4AGE Black top into it. The car had a 8 Valve 79HP Corolla engine bolted to a T-50 transmission. Before I bought a 4AGE I figured out there was a multitude of different T-50 transmissions, and I had the wrong one. Stumped on the engine situation, I took the Mazda 323 to the drag strip. The track had a drift event going on.

After watching the Silvia's getting unmercifully beat on, I figured why not a SR20DET!! I decided to buy a SR20ET since the car weights 1800LBS, why not just put it in stock? Well the intake and the exhaust manifold would not fit in the Lotus. I bought a ISIS intake and it cleared. I figured I would make an exhaust manifold when I found the top mount log manifolds. I could not find a T-25 top mount log manifold, but discovered the T-3 to T-28 adapter. When it came time to clock the stock turbo for use as a top mount it being very old, it did not want to clock and even tough I heated the bolts red hot, and soaked them with water to thermal shock them I broke a couple. I could have drilled and extracted them, but the turbo had a fair amount of oil on the center section, So I decided to replace it. Being on the keep it stock theme, I bought the stock replacement ISIS turbo. Then I watched a video of a 263HP Caterham (contiuation Lotus 7) beat the Bugatti Veyron around the Top Gear test track.

Stig Caterham R500 Top Gear - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6tN6_xUL8j4)

Then I googled my ISIS T-25 /T-28 replacement Turbo and found a thread on Zilvia. The not so unbiased person alledgedly made 275HP with my Turbo on a customers car. Got me dreaming about being the new Stig :-) Not sure my collection of rusty junk will beat a Caterham R500 or a Bugatti, but a dood can dream LOL. Then I joined the Zilvia forum and now your up to date. :rimshot:

Who would you suggest to chip the ECU?

RS Enthalpy or Jim Wolf Technology are your best bets. Both are great at what they do
