Been thinking about this for a while, if all a turbo does is push more air into the motor and it's logical because it does so off exhaust pressure that would accumulate regardless of said turbo why is it unreasonable to say upgrade your alternator, battery, etc. and hook up a large cfm inline fan like this 6 inch Vortex Inline Fan (http://www.growlightexpress.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=214&cPath=88#googlebase) doesnt exactly have to be this exact one but thats what showed up when I googled it 449 cfm doesnt sound bad though. It makes since to me but i've never been one to do something until someone else does it first lol, call me a follower but i'd rather be safe then sorry. any input on this ? it's not like im 100% serious or convinced this will work but this is the chat section and this is something to chat about .

No. The fan won't compress the air like a turbocharger does.

I once dreamed about installing sucker fans into the back of my s-chassis much like the Chaparral 2J...

My clutch fan pulls like 40 times that much air.

Put an electric 'turbine' duct fan for RC jets in your intake.
My dad has a bunch of various ones. :)

These ran on a separate motor that was off a snow mobile.

FWIW, an electric motor hooked up to a compressor isn't THAT bad of an idea.

Electric Supercharger Boosts Torque 50% and Reduces CO2 by 20% : TreeHugger (http://www.treehugger.com/cars/electric-supercharger-boosts-torque-50-and-reduces-co2-by-20.html)

The problem with all of the stupid 'electric turbos' out there is that they don't actually use a compressor, they just use a fan...

I mean i understand other things would have to be done but it seems just as logical to me as all the extra work you have to do to run a turbo . and seems almost better really, ie no exhaust manifold to crack, no turbo to oil, no turbo failure, i'm sure there's more advantages.
