I need some help, I timed the motor as the FSM says, Set to TDC #1 and then rotate the cam until the keyway is pointing striaght up (i made sure the distributer is pointing at one, well as close as it can, it's not at one until 15 degree's or so). I did this and it still won't start, it sounds like it tries, but no go. You think if i was one tooth out it would do this?
Any help/advice is great.
Thanks

check if you have fuel, also check if your accually getting spark, take a plug out, put it in the spark plug wire, then ground the threads of the spark plug to the chassis, and have some1 crank it, you should see spark. if ya dont, check your cap and rotor, if you dont have fuel, check your connections on your fuel injectors,
Pull the bottom pulley to the second mark from the left (IIRC). take out number one plug and use a screw driver to insure the piston is in the top of the cylinder(GENTLY). Make sure all the valves on number one are closed. Pull your distributor cap and see if the rotor button is pointing at number on plug wire. If all that checks out it will run unless you have other problems. From what you are saying sounds to me like it is out of time. have you tried moving the distributor while your trying to start it?

I figured it out, i can be really stupid some times. When i re-installed the frontcover, i forgot to set the oilpump/distributer along with it, so the spark timing is really really off, This would explain my distributer problem when i turn the motor to TDC. I have to pull the oilpump tomarrow and reset the distributer to #1 at TDC. Simple enough.
Thanks for the advice, without it i would have kept on overlooking the problem. Cheers!
