I got my parts list started for what i'm gonna get for my redtop swap into my s14. I don't think i'm missing anything but a couple small questions i guess, didn't want to reply to the old ass faq thread. but read in there a new 255 lph fuel pump can have bad effects on the fuel injectors, so should i skip it til i can get a new fpr? or get it anyways? and i'm still debating if i should rewire or buy new harnesses because the previous owner had a turbo motor not sure which and hacked up the harness. i figured since i'm just taking plugs off i could probably just use the old and rewire? would save me 400 bucks i have a link to the wiring anyone else could chime in on anything feel free.

A lot of guys run 255s without an adjustable fpr although technically its not recommended. As for the harness, wouldn't hurt to try and sort it out. But for the most part fixing someone else's fuck ups sucks hardcore. Might not be worth the headache.

oh and i wouldn't be fixing the harness in there to run the sr20 i thought i'd just be taking the plugs i need off of it just like i would the regular harness when rewiring a swap?

I already know where this is going, if you don't have the cash to do it right don't do it at all. Buy a complete SR from a importer, get a gasket kit from nissan, new harness, motor mounts and clutch. Get a tuneable ECU and get it tuned by a well known shop. Trying to do a SR swap as cheap as you can is just going to end up with headaches and a car that sits in a garage until you decide to part it out.

i have about $4000 at my disposal... i didn't think i'd need to run a different ecu though? i'm probably gonna go with osaka or zerolift, zerolift quoted me for $2000 shipped with liftgate service. i haven't contact osaka yet.
