testing the waters on my very rare s14 OHLINS coilovers

these are straight "because race car" status

RRP: over $6000 new

Spring Rate is 8kg Front and 6kg Rear

20 Way Dampening force adjustment

camber plates

the best coilovers ever made for an s14

ohlins is known for being one of the best super bike suspension manufacturers across the seas but they are also used by the big name teams in rally, touring cars and v8 supercars!

just look at the shock tube size, and compare it to your crappy stance coils coilovers and you'll realise the quality and strength.

bad news :(
rears are blown

there are a few bike shops in socal that are certified ohlins rebuilding specialists. they charge 220 a corner or send them straight to ohlinsUSA.

i know there adjustable shocks with lowering springs sold for around 7-800 a set back in the days on zilvia.

start off at 1500 obo

ill leave this pic for now

I take offense to that Stance comment.

The real question is... do they go LOW?

Right, if you are interested in these it is for performance, not sacrificing performance by maxing them out to get "lowwwww":spank:

I had them on my car.....You will need at least 5mm spacer on the 2 front wheels, otherwise they will rub the inner wheel/tire......I ran Nismo LMGT4 wheel with 8.5 width +30 offsets in the fronts and without 5mm spacers, my inner wheel will be scraped pretty bad.......

As far as performance goes, these are one of the best street/daily uses coilovers in the market....Tein and cusco are bouncy, but ohlins never gave the problem..The most comparable one with the similar design is Tein Monoflex.....But, Ohlins is better ......The only downside is, as far as I know, there are not many service shop available unless you ship them to Japan......A friend of mine have had someone whom people claim that he is very good at Ohlins overhualed his, but the results wasn't so impressive......

I had a set of pcv ohlins on my s13 which i already took them off as they started to leak....and i think when the riming is right, i will hunt another ones for my s14.......

Lastly, the $1500 asking price for this is very steep......
