I've always admired 240's, and this one has popped up around me and i'd like to go look at it. I know nothing about them.

Link here:Clean 1991 Nissan 240sx, Trades? (http://boise.craigslist.org/cto/3249480447.html)

I'd like to have your guys and gals opinion's on it as well.

-What are some things I should lookout for?
-Is it worth it?
-Any comments are welcome.

Sorry if it's not the right section or if i'm an "ultra n00b". Thanks for helping me out, though!

Lol, alright, thanks.

Can I know at least WHY you wouldn't buy it?

I'm sorry but I'm probably going to be mostly negative here of this particular 240.

First of all, crack in the window? No thanks. Pain in the ass to replace and that is from experience. I've never heard of that intake but that's nothing to concentrate on by any means. I would buy it maybe, but for a few hundred less than asking price. Don't let it's-a-clean-car drift tax interpose along with those Nismo seats and aftermarket speakers. It's still a 1991 Nissan after all..

WTF? You've never heard of Injen?! How does that happen? I actually had that same intake. Essentially worthless, as it makes no real power, but it is a reputable name brand nonetheless.

I also bought my S13 with a ginormous crack in the windshield that ran from top to bottom. It was annoying but it never once turned into a problem in 6 years of driving that car all year around.

Aside from the JDM KA... I don't see alot of problem with the car. I'd say try to talk him down to $2400 including tax, title & license. But be sure to scour the car for rust first. If you buy the car, make some quick cash back by selling those crappy wheels to some local ricer for $300 or so and grab you some stock wheels for next to nothing at the salvage yard.

I'm a girl who doesn't exactly shop around for Intakes. That's how that happens. Oh well :o

Aaand, that's what I was thinking too so I'd buy if you're able to price drop for around there. Good luck OP!

Thanks for all the responses everyone!

I'm more than likely going to stay away from it. I'm definitely going to keep my eyes open for a nicer one. There just isn't many around here.

I drove 2400 miles round trip to get one of my 240s. Pretty stupid but it was fun as hell. Don't rush it just keep looking. The right one will come along.

I dunno, man. Provided that the car runs strong/straight and isn't full of rust holes, the car doesn't look bad to me at all. It's all one color/not covered in drift dents, the interior doesn't look like a total rats nest and the engine bay isn't completely fucked over, which is better than most S13's I see for sell these days.

Oh well. I'm sure someone will buy it fast enough. If I were in the market, I'd go take a look at it in person at the very least just to make sure you're not missing the boat on this one. Seems pretty good for a nearly 22 year old car, IMO.

Look for a good one, don't just rush in, find one to your liking, save some more money and get a nice one, personally I wouldn't get it, it sounds like the seller doesn't know what he is talking about
