Now that's the kind of violence I like to see. And don't forget this is Thailand, main export is Muat Thai. Knees, elbows, and headbutts. I trained Muay Thai for 3 years, and had a few lightweight fights. The one thing I learned is that never get in the ring w/ someone from Thailand. They train so much differently than Americans, and they are brutal as F*ck.

ONG BAK is like crazy as Thai movie. I have it on DVD. Haven't seen it w/ subs yet.
The style of Muay Thai the guy practices is this crazy, brutal style that hasnt been used in a long time and isnt taught much, if it all.
A lot of the fight scenes are "real" in that they really are kicking the shit out of each other... its a fucking COOL film. Especially the fight in the bar. :D

its muay thai. i think that was a typo.. anyways.. when i started i got thrown in with the regulars.. got my ass kicked forever.. expect hours of kicking bags and blocking bamboo sticks without pads. i had callouses all down my shins.

dammit, not working for me:(
on a side note, i had a friend who took muay thai for as long as i can remember (probably 7-8 years). he would constantly come home beat to hell with bigass welts on his shins/arms and his back. at least for the first few years. after that he put 2 guys who tried to mug him in downtown atlanta in the hospital, 1 with a broken knee and 1 with a cracked skull ;)

muay thai teaches you to take hits, and keep on going. That shit really is brutal. There was a time when muay thai fighters could not be beat. But like someone else said, they stopped teaching that form of muay thai a long time ago.

looks like a movie about a bunch of big go karts....
pruto

those "go-karts" are actually Thailand taxis. I was in thailand for about 6 months and i remember those. lol, you see soooo many around town. Think of NYC, replace all the yellow taxis with those things.
hey, am i seeing things, or is that a red 180sx in the background around the 0:52-0:53 mark?

Nothing new here, Just brutal.
Every stunt that Jackie Chan did about 10 years ago.
you'd be suprised how much risk Jackie Chan takes for his stunts.
I dont think any stuntman has the balls to break through Frozen ocean from a helicopter, Jumping builings to buildings all the time w/o SAFETY!
This guy didnt even pull of any stunts "from the clip"but just a bruttle street fight.
Jet Li's Wushu Artist not a stuntman.
A Official Wushu medalist.

hahahahahahahah, hell no.
Worst... from my choice.
Just pathetic.
Couple of our Masters use to use him as an example of a BAD FORM.
hahahahah, I remember he use to come to my Gym in Los Angeles, when he was in town.
Short, arrogant mofo; too damn thick to be flexible.
He was in great shape for a heavy drinker. I dont know about now.
