Too clarify, this car does run and drive fine. Obvious signs point to coolant seals except that it blows absolutely no white smoke and does not smell of burnt coolant. Have a small vid of start up for those who are serious.
Also, the trade plus cash idea means if you have a clean 240 worth maybe $4000, then I would like to work something out along the lines of that plus $6000. Not a clean, $4000 240 and $1375, etc. Thanks guys.

Coolant seals can go relative to time as well. If coolant sits for an extended period of time, it can be almost acidic and eat away at the passages. If these seals are indeed bad, I would suspect that to be the case more so than lack of knowledge and proper care. Regardless, no offense taken and yes, these engines can last forever if well take care of. Thanks.

Oh I wasn't saying yours wasn't cared for, it was more aimed at people that think every rotary has to be rebuilt at 60k. There are plenty of examples out there of high mileage rx7s. It just bothers me when people see an FD with 65k on it and say crap like "time for a rebuild" without knowing anything about the car.

If you don't know any thing about rotary engine.. Take this advice they are bitch and sensitive you need to take good care of it just like how you take care of your self.

popped motor deff....but sold mine for 11k with same problem..new owner got it home after stopping 12 times to let her cool down...put a new motor in it and sold it for 19k...newest owner still drives it almost everyday after 4 year now..10k is a good deal
