Up for sale is my 1990 S13 240SX. I bought this car in the fall of 2010, and it's come a long way since then. I'm hesitant to let it go, but, for various reasons, I have to move on. The chassis has 253,196 miles on it, but the engine has yet to reach 10,000. This car is my daily driver though, so the mileage will go up.
Exterior:
- I won't lie, the paint is not good. There are a couple dents here and there, and some poorly done patches on the fender/roof done by a PO
- Recently replaced sealed beam headlights, lightly tinted yellow
- All the lights and signals on the car are fully functional
- Optional factory coupe mudflaps
- Optional factory front lip
- Radio antenna removed
- New OEM door lock tumblers and keys for the driver and passenger side doors
Suspension:
- Megan Racing Track coilovers, 2 collars removed, front dampers set to mid, rear to tight
- Diamond Racing Wheels, powdercoated white. Fronts are 16x10 with a 0 offset, rears are 16x10 with a -12 offset
- 205/45r16 Achilles ATR sports, more than plenty of tread left all the way around
- Front strut tower bar, rear strut tower bar, and C-pillar brace bar
Interior:
- Perfect dash, no cracks, rips or tears
- New Pioneer stereo with iPod hookup
- Factory front seats removed and replaced with S14 seats w/ adjustable lumbar support
- Full-length rearview mirror
- Black NISMO weighted shift knob
- Custom made shift boot, Catholic schoolgirl plaid skirt fabric
- Door panel speakers removed and replaced with 6-1/2 inch adapters and Pioneer speakers
- Headliner dyed black
Engine/Drivetrain:
- 1996 KA24DE engine swap, completed in March of last year, less than 10,000 miles on swap
- Block was taken to a machine shop and internals were confirmed to be within factory specifications
- Head decked, ported and polished, and valves cleaned
- Full gasket set was installed by the machine shop, including rear main seal
- Cometic metal head gasket
- APR head studs
- S14 intake upper plenum retained, deleting secondary butterflies
- Emissions deleted
- ChaseBays power steering reservoir relocation kit w/ braided stainless steel and nylon hoses
- Remanufactured S14 OEM rack and pinion, inner tie rods, outer tie rods, and Moog tie rod ends
- New Wearever Gold brake pads, front and back
- Timing advanced 10 degrees
- Oil changed every 3,000 miles, with Royal Purple 10w40 Synthetic
- Transmission fluid changed with motor swap using Royal Purple Max Gear 75W-90 Transmission Fluid
- Battery relocated to trunk w/ battery box
- J30 VLSD
Exhaust:
OBX-R Pacesetter-replica stainless steel longtube header
Megan Racing stainless steel test pipe
Isis stainless steel Blast Pipes
Vibrant stainless steel resonator
I have most of the paperwork for all the additional parts/work.
This car rides like a dream, even for being as low as it is. The steering is tight and responsive, the ride quality is sporty and stiff, but not too much, and the engine turns right over and runs even more perfectly than I could have hoped. The few times I've gotten on the throttle, I've been pleasantly surprised and how quick it'll put you back in your seat, especially for being an NA four cylinder. It has enough power to light up the tires and more than enough to do doughnuts and hold it's own at drifting as well. I've built this car over the past 2 years, and I've loved it the whole time. It's instantly recognizable and turns heads wherever I go. Whoever owns it next will be nothing but happy. If you have any questions, feel free to ask and I'll be happy to answer.
