i've googled and found differences in differentials between s13/s14 axles and contradictory opinions on that as well. I'll be getting a welded non-abs differential, and it's an abs equipped s14. i know i will need a non abs driveshaft because it's a lil longer to reach the pumpkin. my question lies in if i can use the abs axles? are they the same length? i only ask because the guy is giving me his axles but he said one of them makes a noise on acceleration. so if i can use the good ones that come with the car that would be beneficial.

check the part numbers for either and if they match then yes they're the same

why is it that nissan sites are only selling the right side? so dumb i don't see an abs option though regardless so i think i should be fine.

The axles are the same, it's the diff and driveshaft that vary. Make sure you are getting the correct axle stubs (I.e. 6bolt or 5bolt) for your car.

okay sweet, do you if abs and non abs diff's had different bolt patterns for the axles?

They may have between years, I.e. S13/S14 but not on the S14 chassis.

so i should be good with the diff that i'm getting regardless of what it is? if so cool but did they swith the axle bolt patterns throughout 95-98 for any other reason? cause idk what year the diff came out of.

As far as I know, all S14's have the same 6 bolt flanges. Some S13's, J30's and Z32's had/came with the 5 bolt axles but I'm not certain what exact years/models those pertain too. I'm fairly certain Z32 TT's had the 5bolts.
