Well my 2jz is at it again breaking everything behind the transmission. WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK WILL ALL HAVE TO BE REPLACED? TOMORROW AFTER WORK IM GONNA TAKE THE TIRES OFF DROP THE DIFF AND TRY AND GET BETTER PICTURES =[[[[[[[ im sure i blew the ring and pinion or something out of my differential. its a J30. but the subframe is what im worried about =[[[

What the hell are you feeding that thing? I don't think that rust on the subframe helped things, like quite possibly caused all that damage. The cracks look rusted or is it just the camera/lighting?

How much power are you putting down? Any vids?

The rust look is from the mag light , I'm running a 2jzgte on a gt30r ball bearing turbo about 430-450 who right now , I was racing my shadow and got on it in first gear and instead of just spooling threw first and spinning I slammed second really early and it started to spin like crazy and started wheel hopping, then I heard a noise and my steering wheel turned to the left and I thought I snapped a tie rod. I was able to drive it up to a parking lot and realized my diff was blown and my rear passenger tire was casterd in all weird. So I knew I was gonna have to change the diff so I went under there to Ohhtayyyy to take pics of my ebrake sett up so I could get that finished at the same time and I realized how much more of a murder scene it really was....

Add me in face book if you wanna see me murded an ISF a few days ago and a built k20crx on 175 shot & a 650 whp crx who couldnt get enough traction to keep up with me, and like 3 mustangs that had bolt one and unknown amounts of nitrous, they all failed to keep up. Find me at
[email protected] on face book
you have as much power as a C6 vette and you've got that rear end? i think that's the problem, specially if you're always getting on the throttle.

Sorry my auto spell on this dam phone fucked up a few words in my lasts posts please forgive me Im sure you guys can figure out what I'm saying. I've been driving this car for 3 years now, I destroyed 1 drive shaft and a kazz 2way, & a j30 diff before , this time it did that =[.... Needless to say the motor & tranny have no issues lol

Yeah and I have It on street tires because I'm worried if I got it to hook in 2nd from a roll wht would happen. I dream about getting this car out of the hole in first gear

Semi daily Daily driven, hard. 3 years. Most reliable car I've ever owned. I have a g35 sedan 6spd and still prefer to drive this one -_-

I see stock subframe bushings. There is your main problem. Invest in some suspension parts and you'll be fine.
Wheel hop kills everything.

yup wheel hop will break anything no matter how much hp you have.

If you get a new subframe reinforce it or get the s14 subframe they are stronger then s13. I also would upgrade to a q45 setup. Are you also sure the j30 diff is bad it may not be.

Q45 rear subframe ?? More details please. Well I'm sure something flew out the back of the diff it is probably repairable I think it was just the ring and pinion or something that busted the hole in the case.

this is why i never recommend swapping whole differentials by changing the rear cover; its not hard swapping internals. putting a s14/j30 diff into a s13 changes the geometry with the rear subframe(different unit all together) and driveshaft. most who do half assed projects dont keep their cars beyond a year or 2/dont put down real power/torque to see what can happen. as suggested getting new bushing on the entire rear end will help to prevent the wheel hop.

@blueshark123 I see what your saying maybe I ripped my subframe and it just broke the rear diff case? Could be true becuse I was able to drive it a few hundred get and drive it up and down the toe truck. So I should purchase an s14 subframe and a q45 what now?

R200 rear end should be able to handle to about 600 hp. You're nowhere close to start blowing these diffs yet. Even then, its not the diff that will be the issue, its usually the axles input shaft into the splines that like to twist like pretzels.
If you already got an S14 subframe, reinforce it. Also, dont forget to get an S14 diff cover since the S13 one wont work.

Yeah except changing the driveshaft angle by a couple degrees has absolutely nothing to do with breaking things.
The simple fact of the matter is, wheel hop caused his diff and subframe to break. Which failed first is inconsequential.
If he gets a new subframe, diff, some solid subframe bushings and adjustable arms and he'll be set. There are guys running much more power on an R200 diff and on slicks at that.

That's a rust free subframe from the looks of it.
you have a "J30" diff with 6/2 axles?
either way like they said stock bushings and wheel hop is what caused this to happen it wasnt you uber 2jz power

upgrade to a s14 subframe with some better bushings, ex... solid or poly bushings. Plus it looks like you may have broken an axle. My buddy runs a 550 hp to the wheel ka-t and drags with slicks and hasnt had anything like this happen. then I have another friend with a 408 ls series motor making like 600 before the laughing gas, again with slicks and stock lsd has never broken anything like yours.

Some people upgrade to a Q45 rear differential since it's technically an R200 diff but has the stronger 30 spline axles as a Twin Turbo Z32. The rear end gear is also much taller than most S-Chassis diffs so it might help if you're making a ton of power. IIRC to complete the swap you need a combination of Q45 and Z32TT axles, Z32 TT hubs, a Q45 diff and the correct cover for your subframe.

Get a new rust free subframe like everybody said and replace the bushings with some solid aluminium ones.
Upgrading to an S14 subframe would be better you can easily find one in the Junkyard. If not, you can also
use a J30 Subframe which is nearly identical to and S14 one.
A plus about the J30 Subframe is that the RUCAs are much beefier and look very similar to the Nismo S14 ones.

Q45 really use the bigger axle splines? So that means you'd have to change the hubs to Z32TT to fit the larger splines? The folks I knew who were twisting the R200 axle splines all converted to the GTR/Z32TT R230 rear end on their S-chassis. Changed subframe and everything else to fit the larger diff housing, axle and hubs.

Mine was rust free the mag light made it look rusted. I was told that the s14 subframe will not directly bolt up. So I think I'm gonna purchase another s13 subframe with solid mounts, and go with the r200 rear diff. Sound okay?

I also purchased this so I can get off my stock injectors and ecu. http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=290734890080
Any suggestions on Axel's if mine need to be replaced ?

Yeah you have to change to Z32tt hubs or you can use whole upright off a Q45.
Similar to what is done when converting to 5-lug using J30 rear uprights and e-brake assembly.
