They doing it so stupid PS3 owners can stop saying they can browse the internet from their consoles. IMO browsing the internet from a video game system is stupid.

When my computer died, this feature on my PS3 became very useful.

NO VIDEOS = NO SPANKWIRE...

SPANKWIRE ON BIG SCREEN = ONLY THING I USE MY PS3 FOR...

TIL IT CAN PLAY FLASH ITS USELESS TO ME...

whats smartglass? lol i've only touched IE so far in the beta.

Soooo, any specifics you care to share about it?
it's surprisingly fast. granted my laptop is a 4+yr old pos dell, my xbox with IE is faster than my computer with firefox or chrome

actually, the youtube videos work if you'd rather use the website than the app (which i do)
and some other video players work, you just have to find the right one

it's actually rather awesome. my friend doesnt have a computer or a smart phone, but he has an xbox. with this, he can go online without having to buy either one.
not everyone is as loaded as you, dude.

so far, i can say it's pretty cool. however, they need something to fix getting pop-ups, and they need to get flash player and adobe to really get things rolling.

Smart glass is kinda lame to be honest, at least for PC. I tried it out on my Win8Pro machine and it only allows you to do things like check out descriptions of games and download DLC and such.

smartglass looks pretty damn awesome for a console game if u ask me. especially if i get to type with my phone. as much of a pain in the ass THAT is, it's no where near as bad as using a controller to do it lol

Everyone wrote off those controller keypads because they never used them when they came out. I find myself using mine all the time under the current dashboard setup. So not regretting that purchase anymore.

The chatpad? I use it so my fingers don't wrap around to my palms.
