I have noticed that the lighter on the S13 seems to like to come loose and just kinda sit in the hole. Anytime you put something in it, I end up pulling the whole thing out of the center console.
Anyone Else have this problem? and how did you fix it?
Yep.. that seems to be the problem with ALL S13's.
How did I solve this? I removed the 12V lighter and installed an S14 lighter.. that worked for about, 2 uses. Then after that, I recently decided to get rid of my head unit and install a custom mp3 player. The 12V plug now houses a volume control.

whoa, sweet idea. I'm trying to think of something to replace the lighter, and I want to build in a custom power connection for my cell phone. Shouldn't be too hard.

i was thinking about installing a push start there, since mine is jacked up, all you have to do is tap it, it comes out. but i don't want to buy that push start thing for 60 bucks, so i'm tryin' to figure out how the wireing goes by myself and buy a button, that comes later, i don't have any idea how the ignition wire works <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('>
I have that problem in my S14. Some power plugs aren't such a snug fit so they come out no problem, but the power plug for my radar detector is a very snug fit so when I pull it out I have to hold the little metal ring in place, or else it comes out. I'll probably just live with it, since I don't want to GLUE anything together.. then It would be a bitch to get it off later on!
