does anyone know what car would run wheel studs that fit in the 240 but the threads are 12x1.5? i have a set of ls400 spacers and a set of 240 spacers and im sick of running 2 different kinds of lugs, i just wanted to press the same size thread into the spacers :bash:

Cross reference studs through arp. Knurl length might cause some issues but many people just clearance the rotor hats.

go to rockauto.com > nissan > year > 240sx > wheel/tire > lug stud > and itll define the dimensions of the front and rear studs, which are diffferent.

To the op, how can you be sure that those aftermarket spacers use the same size knurl as what was used from the factory from Nissan? I'd do a little more research before you possibly waste some money and/or have to deal with returning the wrong studs

^why do you think you have to worry about the knurl size when it comes to spacers? the knurl is to keep the stud from moving around in the hub. but doesnt need to do the same thing for spacers.

^ because he's talking about replacing the studs in the spacers, not the hubs.......

yea im sure the spacers dont have the same knurl as a 240sx. Why dont you just buy the correct spacers instead that are actually hubcentric to nissan also.

typically bolt on spacers are totally different then hubs.
I dont think you can replace or swap studs.
maybe i missed something here?? But when i break a stud on my bolt ons, i just throw them away.

You can i know people who have but its not as safe as oem hubs since spacers are aluminum so it can strip the hole where the stud goes a lot easier. When my friend did it he got a knurl size a bit bigger so it can grab the aluminum more.

i own a lexus and a nissan and a mazda, so i hear you.. it would be nice to have a standardized lugnut and stud... but thats not going to happen. finding knurl diameters that crossover is not easy.... its easier to KEEP IT OEM
if you are dead seat, there are two things you can do
- if you are running wheel ADAPTERS, have them machined with whatever stud you desire. fred at wheel adapter can do this for you (search)
- if you are running spacers and can tack weld, simply install the stud you desire (close fit) and tack them into place. Though, this is a very ghetto approach... but afterall, this is zilvia and chances are... your cars suck.
