I dont think is has the 787b motor. It most likely has a twin 13b motors.. You can find how to do at engineswaps.com... the setup is sweet.... It doesnt look like it has a blower though.. Im guessing it has a single monster turbo...

either it has an amazingly high stall for it to spool a big turbo up or its got a blower...

there was no turbo lag like you would see on monstor turbos

andrave
03-05-2004, 06:44 PM
its a fucking 4 rotor man... you could run (relatively) small turbos on it and still make hellacious power. twin T66's would be around what, 900, 1000 hp? and a T66 doesn't take a really long time to spool on a 13b.

while we're beating dead horses........to everyone that thinks the car is turbo'd. You're wrong. Naturally aspirated

OptionZero
09-29-2004, 01:13 AM
what car came with the quad rotor?

kidinthehall
09-29-2004, 01:19 AM
no production car did. the one pictured above was made for Mazda's 787B Lemans car. The one in the car in the video is likely a custom one off. With a rotary you can just keep stacking rotors assuming you have an eccentric (crank) shaft long enough.

If you're gonna revive a thread, this is the one to do it.

Someone cram a tiny 13b into a Lotus elise!!!
Isn't the 13b like the size of say... a football and a half?
