Jdm s13 5 bolt axles.. Am I missing a clip?

Are both axles supposed to have clips, getting ready to swap in a jdm vlsd and switch from 6 to 5 bolt axles, just going over everything to make sure the install goes smooth.

Here's a pic, the one on the left, the longer one looks like it could be missing a clip
