ok so i just bought a 240 and i want exhaust of course but i am stuck between 2 exhausts!! first the isis mbse type-e exhaust. 300$ and from the video provided on enjukuracing it sounds pretty nice..

next is the isis 3" dual straight pipe.. its cheaper than the mbse exhaust but it hangs low on the middle flange and ive heard alot of negative reviews on it but at the same time some people love it.

i have a 92 s13 hatch completely stock.

p.s. i know im cheap

The straight pipe will make you wish you bought the MBSE. The MBSE will make you wish you bought the straight pipe.

Don't let other people make decisions for you, decide for yourself.

If you dont give a F and got tons of money for tickets, get the straight pipes.

If you dont want the hassle of getting pulled over all the time and tickets, get the MBSE Type E. I currently rock the ISIS GT Single. I'll be in court on Thursday to fight my first ever exhaust ticket. Wish me luck :)

keep the blast pipe tips and use the resonator portion from the mbse, looks and reduced noise then resell the left over parts

You'll think the same way when you keep getting pulled over and getting hit up with $150-200 exhaust modification tickets. Get the quiet one!!!

Up here in Canada, our tickets are $115. The ticket they give is under "driving vehicle with widen exhaust outlet". The cops use this violation as an excuse to ticket the sound without doing a decibel meter test. But when they give this ticket, all they measure is the exhaust tip, and not the actual exhaust outlet which is inside diameter. And since the law has no actual size regulations with the outlet, the court usually throw out the tickets.

I got my ticket reduced to $57 on Thursday. Crown Pro looked at my pictures of various exhausts, said you have a enlarged exhaust. I replied, show me the law that states what size exhausts have to be. He was quiet and asked if he reduced it, would I accept. My work is commission based so I accepted so I could get back to work quicker, but 80% of me thinks if I shown the judge and said same thing, it would of gotten thrown out.

The cops dont care here. I've got the Blast pipes with 4 inch tips and a test pipe on a stock KA. It is ridiculously loud. I'm gonna try it with the cat back on and see how the sound difference is.

Why would you even put an exhaust on a stock KA, just keep it stock.

Cuz stock exhaust can potentially be 20 yrs old at this point? Shit could have a bazillion holes on it from rust...

I'm actually surprised nobody threw out the 'ebay exhaust' option. Not that it's a good one but still haha it's usually a 'hit or miss' thing with those exhaust but I took my chances and bought one off there for $120. I guess I got sort of lucky. It had nice fitment and looks, but came as a straight pipe and wasn't advertised that way. Either way a small glass pack welded into fixed the sound and I love it now.

Thats true, I didn't think about that. Sorry OP i just hate the look and sound of stock 4x4 height s13(hatches always) primered black with gold rattle canned wheels with an n1 exhaust rolling around. Good choice on the type-e.
