im looking to upgrade my stock speakers. Dont want subs but would like speakers that give clear sound but also deliver a noticeable amount of bass. What do you guys have and what size?

I put in some infinty 6X9's in the back of my fastback in boxes. I'm not sure what you could get to fit in the factory mounts in the back besides 4X6's which really suck. Here's a pic they sit on the back of my sub/seat.

I got Boston Acoustics, the tweeter is a seperate part from the sub.
Basically a tweeter and a 4inch round speaker in the 4x6 casing. They are very crisp and clear and deliver pretty good base.
I'd put some crisp speakers up front and then some bass ones in the back.

thats a really great setup if you like having little wooden boxes through your skull when you wreck...
you can fit damn near anything in the back of a fastback, the cutouts will allow 4x6, 5x7, 5.25", 6.5" (may need cutting) and 6x9's will fit with some cutting.

Just for reference those 4" ones are MIDRANGES not SUBS. But to me they give NOTHING for bass. But I have real subs. Eh. I like Infinity Kappa's but Boston Acoustics are very nice too. The best thing for audio is to actually listen to speakers yourself as audio is ALL personal preference. What one thinks is clear someone else might think is bright and so on. Just try to get someone with similar size/positioning to let you listen with your music.
