I just hydroplaned 2 weeks ago near Salinas, CA. Is anyone near that interested in a '91 240sx in pretty good overall condition? The only thing really wrong besides a little bit of body damage from the accident is a completely destroyed rear suspension, axle, brake rotor, and a very slightly bent frame. The interior is almost perfect, no rust on the body. Engine just had a bunch of maintenance done, head gasket, valve job, and completely redone cooling system. Please let me know asap. Oh and 240s suck in the rain...

Oh and its red... Nissan dealer quoted me $4400 to fix it which means that im sure someone could do it on their own for a hell of a lot less.

I'm sorry, I definitely can not part it out, I live in Davis. CA. It is probably aztec, as the red is not burgundy. How much are you willing to give me? Also the stereo and speakers will not come with the car. I would really appreciate as many reasonable offers as possible, I'm a starving college student. Oh to be more exact the rear damage is centered around the left rear tire. I also have all the service records, just had its last oil change less than 1500 miles ago. 14x,xxx total miles on car.

I think you should give me a price. I bought a parts car off a member on the boards for $200. And I bought my 89 hatch with slight front end damage (everything else ok) for $325. So if you want me to offer you something, then $200.

I was hoping to get $700-900... The car has a clean title. This car would be perfect for someone looking to do suspension mods, rims, and a body kit. If you were to upgrade the suspension and add an LSD you would replace almost all the broken parts. This car has a near perfect interior (no tears in the seats, no cracks in the plastic or dash, only small hole in carpet on drivers side under floor mat). This car would be a perfect way to start a project.

Better luck parting it out dude.
You try and sell it people are gonna lowball you hard... towing, disposal fees & associated hassle.

When you said slight Frame Damage.... Are you talking Sub Frame Damage... Is it just the sub Frame that needs fixing... Let me know ASAP.... Cause if all it needs is a new subframe and under body, I have a parts car at home... Let me take a look at it... If it is just the Sub Frame I'll give you around 500 to 600 depending on the condition of the rest of the car....
Hit me back up ASAP...
Thanks. David...

I am not exactly sure, I will need to check with the dealer who inspected it. I do know that they said it was fixable. They said also that if they repaired the rear the car, and not the frame, it would still be drivable. I will call them and get back to you.

I'm really sorry but I can't part it out... I would if I could, I live in either San Luis Obispo or Davis in CA. The car is stuck in Salinas. I would get more money if I could part it out. Hell if someone else bought it they could use whatever they needed and part out the rest to make up there cost. I would also like to send pictures but I can't as I can't make a trip to the car just to take pictures. I can describe the car and I have one bad picture from my camera phone from the rainy, dark lot where the car is. I'll let you know about frame damage tomorrow.

1stcar240sx,
Give me an address of where the car is. I'll take a swing down there this weekend to check it out. I'll make you an offer after I see the car. I would take the entire car off your hands if it's worth it to me. Let me know right away though.
I need to move on this fast.
Thanks man.

The frame damage is in the front right but the dealership said they werent sure what would be needed to fix it besides to take it to a body shop... I'm willing to come down in my price, this is a really big hassle for me, with finals coming up. If you are really interested pm or email me and I'll give you the address of the car.

Just to clear any confusion, Burgundy = "Cherry Red Aztec". Red = Red, this confued me but my touch up paint bottle says Cherry Red Aztec for my burgundy 240...
