I've serached but found nothing usefull that I havn't checked
OK here goes.
1990 KA24E
: Replaced Radiator, changed oil (switched to Mobile1 Sythetic), changed oil filter (Fram X2) replaced Valve Cover gasket because of oil leak:
It seems that I'm leaking coolant from the Oil pan on the front of it by the drivers side bolt. I poured coolant in and went under the carafter a couple of seconds it kind of started bubbling where the oil pan meets the block.
I tightned the bolt a little bit (it was already pretty tight) and it stopped bubbling. drove the car for a awhile and checked again and it is still leaking.
Now, this is what I see when i get under my car. It seems that at some point in the cars history it leaked coolant from the water pump area because there is old dry coolant their. Now after checking the car, the coolant was still dry even after I put more coolant in. So, i don't think its leaking from the water pump.
No my question is, is it possible to leak coolant from the oil pan? How easy of a fix is chaning the oil pan gasket?
I checked the oil and there is no coolant in it and the coolant on the ground (and the drops of coolant leaking) have no oil in them.
I'm I wrong? could the leak be somewhere else that i'm just not seeing?
help, i really don't feel like spending $10 a week on coolant just to keep filling it up.
Other then the leak, it runs normal (both temp and power)
