i have a military spec bulletproof vest made by PointBlank, the best company in the business. Military multi-cam pattern. Body armor is rated to take a .45 caliber round, though i wouldnt reccomend it. Vest comes with the optional neck and groin protectors (guards against shrapnel and fragmentation). Retail for the vest ALONE is $1000-$1200, with attatchments $1500.
asking $500 obo. my car really needs some nice swaybars. ANY OFFER WILL BE CONSIDERED SO PLEASE DONT BE AFRAID TO ASK. willing to ship

So then how does someone in Slovenia go about aquiring such MILITARY grade equipment used by the United States? Or even know who or what the LA Kings are?

An IBA will stop a 9mm & shrapnel... If it doesn't had ESAPI plates that's all it will stop.
Try & prove me wrong but as a vet of both wars & still on active duty I know what I'm talking about

what exact rounds does it protect against? a .45 round @ what range?
what is the weight?
what is the condition of the armor?
probably cant stop a 556 or 762 round, (too 'pointy')
these are the questions you should answer the good folk.

they are illegal if bought illegal... But no, contractors going over seas buy them all the time. But most ppl who have these were mil and got out. They were lucky enough to not have to turn them in or "found" an extra one.
Better hope the buyer doesn't get shot.

wow.
buyer got fucked.
goddamn IBAs are uncomfortable as shit. especially since he didnt post the size. these are NOT one size fits all. if its too big the shit will kill your shoulders.
there is no sapis in there. the vest wouldnt sit like that. meaning no 45cal round. sorry. esapi plates say right on them that it withstand a 7.62 round. and its true. saw it. theres a lot more balls behind a 7.62 rifle cartridge than a 45 pistol cartridge.
needless to say esapi plates are military grade. no esapi plates here. because if he had these it would have been made clear which caliber round he said itll take. just putting it out there. hoping the buyer reads and understands.

Anyone who has been on the grunt side of the corps knows these are the hottest, most uncomfortable pieces of equipment. Also, they can't carry much gear due to few mounting points. And yes, the bulletproofness of the vest is nothing without sapi's; in its current state its mostly meant to stop shrapnel.

+1.... But even with out sapi, or some variant of the plates I wouldn't try that. I've seen the shrapnel actually "stick" in areas around the plate.

Not to stir shit, but without sapi plates they do stop 9mm and 45acp. I've shot both personally at them, and can report.
With Sapi plates, it stopped 5.56 at 100ish yards (and 7.62). It works.

what distance did you shoot with the 9mm? i cant attest to the 45 but i have shot a 9mm at that green kevlar ballistic crap and it went right throw it. but it was relatively close.

I have multicam real Army issue plate carriers I can sell, but selling those plates are so illegal, it's not even funny. Oh, and that's not multicam. And IBA's suck balls.
This is:

Yes, I'm military. Yes, I'm infantry. Yes, I've taken a shot the chest wearing those overseas. Yes, it fucking hurts.
EDIT: And not to break your little hearts, I've seen many people get hit with these with a regular AK-47 round and it went straight through both. It's the luck of the draw. To those who shot them as a test, sounds like you had good luck. Some people overseas didn't.
Lock this dumb shit before you get thrown in jail - not that I care.

Honestly, who the fuck cares? If being shot at is a serious concern for you to the point you wear a bulletproof vest around, you need to move.

yes, civilians can buy sapis up to level 3. they go up to 5 (that I know of) and the top 2 levels are military/police only, although contractors get their hands on em so im sure its possible somewhere but its certainly not legal.
I donno why people buy these anyway...wtf are you going to use this for in the civilian world? if you really live in a dangerous area buy what cops buy (the civi version) that goes under their clothes.
on the other hand if ur doing it for fun for paintball or airsoft...well enjoy.

yea totally agree and that flak is way outdated the new sapi carriers we have are awesome (im in the marines fyi). if u spent 500 on that its pitiful cause I found a military surplus that sells the plate carrier for 300 bucks. Of course your not gonna be able to get the sapi plates for it unless u "tactically acquire" some which is a felony haha. Who bought this damn thing they needa be smacked in the face if they spent more that 100-200 bucks

To many bumps. Seller can start a new thread in 3days(72hrs).
This is why it's generally not a good idea to sell non car items on the forum.
