rb25 bad ignitor?

ok guys im definetely not an electrician so bare with me, i get continuity from my ignitor when i put the + lead on G and touch - lead to E1-E6.
If put + lead on e1-e6 6 pin connector side to - lead i1-i6 7 pin connector side i get no continuity
If i switch it around and put the + lead on the i1-i6 and - lead on the e1-e6 side i get continuity all around 16.5, mutimeter set at 20k
is my ignitor bad?

maybe everyone is confused, ok so accordingly to the fsm
i touch the + lead to side 2 (E1-E6 6 pin) and touch the - lead to 3 or "G" (ground) and im surpose to see continuity but there is nothing, no movement on the ohm meter
now if i switch the leads around ( + on "G" and - on side 2 pins(E1-E6) i get continuity
does this mean its bad? am i to see continuity both ways no matter which side the + lead is on?
