I was thinking about getting one of these...
Infiniti G35 Sport Coupe
Horsepower - 280hp Torque - 270lb.ft
0-60 - 5.8sec
1/4mile - low 14's
18"chrome wheels with Brembos :hsdance:
Luxery with Leather seats :coold:
Nissan 350z
Horsepower - 287hp Torque - 274lb.ft
0-60 - 5.5sec
1/4mile - low 14's
Most likely will get the enthusiast or performance model so... no brembos :wtc:

well it all depends on what you want. the Infinity G35 is more of a luxury/sports orriented car as opposed to the 350z which is more performance orriented. Im a more of a performance guy so ill sujest the 350z :boink:

Depends on your goals. G35 Awesome daily driver. 350Z Awesome weekend toy.
I personally would go with the 350Z enthusiast for the lsd. All the other stuff is just bells and whistles.

I was thinkin about this myself. The G35 will cost you less in insurance since its a 2+2 versus the 350Z being a 2 seater. The G is heavier, 3,435 lbs vs 3,197 (enth) or 3,217 (perf)...200 lbs, big deal. I have driven the Z, and it has one hellava blind spot, the pillar obstructs your view and ya caint see through that little window. I have only sat in the G35 but the pillar was moved so the blind spot isnt a problem. I also managed to get myself (5'11") one of my buddies (6'2") and his sister (5'10") all to sit reasonably comfortably in the G (they were on the passenger side). The 350z is as sports car, while the G35 is more of a sport coupe. I have seen a difference of around a second on the autox course (same driver). Personally im saving up for the G35 and waiting for the possibility of an AWD version plus you have the ability to drop the name "Skyline" (but not GTR) around.

I'd def. go with the Z and get the LSD. Basically, the Z is a two seater (mmmm) while the G35 is a 4 seater (blah).

Yeah, I would get the G35 Performance and keep it stock, for if I got the 350Z I would rather go with a Enthusiast or Performance because it's cheaper and I would save money for mods. I have also driven both, I think the G35 has a more smooth ride, the 350z does have a huge blindspot but that's easy to get used to. The 350z has a pretty plain interior. Most likely I would go for the G35 now... depending on how much money I have.

if I had the money, I would keep my 240 and buy a g35 6spd for a daily driver. The 240 would become my 100% track whore.
...one day.

Got Sileighty?

I think the G35C would be cooler myself, but either of the 2 would be sweet no doubt about that. I just think for daily driving the G35 would be a little more practical with the size etc. But, I do think the Track Z would be hott.

I like the front of the 350Z better than the G35, but prefer the back of the G35 (with the whale tale) over the 350Z. With all the S chassis hybrids that we have, I would love to see a 350G hybrid. That would be awesome. Photoshop anyone?

there will be no g35 coupe awd. Stop making stuff up, there is no reason for one unless they make a g35 tt which is most likely not gonna happen.
Where did you get this information from?
but back to the topic...i prefer the g35 coupe for daily driving but for just weekend car i would get a 350. Also i need the extra 2 seats for that the g has.

the sedan is awd on some models, wouldn't be surpised if they offered that on the coupe models. but like hookup said theres no reason.

My roommate is an Infiniti Master Tech....so Im gonna have to go G35 Coupe. :rawk:
Besides, Im more into comfort and I find the G35 to be more a better balance of Power and Options to me.
Until I can afford one......im gonna have to stick with my S14 Kouki.

both of them are very easy to drive and not hardcore sports cars, i think it just comes down if you want 2 seats or 4, luxury or lightness. the VQ motor is already being pushed, getting more juice out of it requires lots of build-up..
i would think any die-hard enthusiast would ditch either of those cars and go with a supra or z32. all of these are heavier cars, but atleast the older ones were more hardcore.
not knocking the new cars, but they are new and too watered-down for my taste. i drove a Z33 for a week and grew bored from the unentertaining powerband. I like the Z a lot, its a great car.. but for me, it just doesnt give me the stiffness that a sportscar should give -- from the clutch to the steering. I did like the suspension though, I think it has a very high-quality suspension design. Oh yeah, the blind spot really isnt an issue.. any good driver should have no problem coping with it.

ps: You can see pics of both cars here:

Both cars have excellent potential in terms of lighting upgrades too. ;)

nah, g35 overall is more expensive when comparing options to the 350. Wow still a wait over by you? crazy shit.
g35's were just named into the top 10 cars this year for thier resale value. I've been looking lately and 03's with like 10-15k miles are going for like 28-31 still, and there are barely any.

i would hafta disagree with the majority! i think the Z looks way more hotter than the g35 c even though it isnt a 4 seater and luxurious, buut then it all depends on wat ur lookin for in a car! goodluck with ur choice though

I agree.. I think the Z's styling is way cleaner than the G35. I dunno why, but the G kinda looks bulbous.

consideration:
with the massive demand for the G35C...i've heard you can swipe a G35 SEDAN for way way cheap cuz dealers have 'em stocked up all over the place in the lots with all the hubub over the coupe...
it makes 260hp still, right? same VQ...
I'm sure the g35 chassis is a bit different...but its nearly...nearly as fast in the straight line...and it does come with a 6-spd i believe...optional AWD as well...not too bad.
the g35 is just so sexy though, the 350z has no such class, i'm sorry dudes...g35 in gunmetal is the pimpness...add clearcorner.com headlight + OEM kit = the shit....

I don't know how to explain it other than to say it looks... French. There is Renault allll over that car's body design. Not necessarily a bad thing, but not what I want from a Nissan, especially a car so characteristically Japanese as the Skyline GT.
I wish the sedan offered the brake upgrade. I'm surprised they don't - they could throw it in with 18" wheels and whatever the coupe has to get 280hp instead of 260hp and position it against the BMW 330i performance package. The sedan is very clean, very square, just the way I like a car.
