Apparently the search function is down =(

Anyway, I'm sure this was covered but are there any braces that are on the vert that can be used to stiffen up the hatch? I was just curious. Can anyone post any pics? Thanks =)

Search is fine, you just didn't find anything lol. On topic its not worth your time to cut any of that off. Buy the braces that are for sale in the after market. Only a few would be beneficial, for one the fender brace and you cant just cut them off the vert and transfer it over, but there are many choices for aftermarket fender braces. The other one is the strut tower box but that same effect can be achieved with a good strut bar or a weld in tube. Besides that there isn't much more in the way of bracing besides the ones going to the frame rails and I don't see those adding much more then weight. There is also another 80lbs of metal in the doors for the seat belts so that contributes to the illusion that there is a hell of a lot of bracing due to the differences in weight vs coupe and hatch.

Sideview 180sx Functional of course =) I did a google search and the only relevant thing I found was the vert door mod on nico. ^ Cool thanks for clearing that up!

There is also a brace in the floor pan right where your feet would be at, and the back seat bottom front attachment points are boxed in but I suspect it would be more efficient to have one of those bars that goes from one of the car to the other on the floor behind the front seats.

Looking at this picture just now makes me realize how little there really is from keeping the vert from just bending in half.

I tried all sorts of braces on my 13, and i went to the conclusion the only effective one is a rollcage ( even a bolt in one )
