I just picked up an extremely clean 94 vert, looking into a roll bar, I'd need to retain the top functionality and hopefully full interior. The car is a weekend driver/show car. So just needs to loil good and clean, are there any bolt in cages available? Or do I just go to a fabricator and tell them what I want? I have searched but I'm getting mixed results and no hard info.

Frsport, enjuku sells em. Youre looking at 600$ or so. If you see any for 129.99 or lil more, sont expect that bar to save your life. They DO sell show cages

Not anymore they don't, the company doing them stopped making them. And on top of that they were not bolt in cages, they sent them pre-bent and you had to weld the rear bars on then weld it to the chassis.
The bolt in cages you see for hatches and coupes will not work, they don't clear the top, or the vert top mechanics in the back seat area. If you take your time and do a search on a few other forums you will find some guys made a weld in roll bar that clears the rear seat and top, iirc they even had the measurements.

I am going to be making a cage for a vert silvia in the near future and i will have all the dimensions saved....i can bend you up a weld in kit if you can wait a little bit. unfortunatly i am in alberta canada and shipping might be a killer.
but i do build rollcages as a second source of income and i have all the good tools and stuff to bend this perfect for you. if its not going to be at the track and it doesnt need to pass any inspection i can bend it out of 1.5" ERW to save on cost.
let me know if you are interested or if you want some pictures of work i have done just so you feel more comfortable.
thanks,

I'd be somewhat interested, and I'm not in a huge hurry. If you want email me some pictures of your work

From my searching I want something similar to the Cusco cage? Which I'm assuming is 2 in or a little larger? Thanks for all the replies guys I'll also check local. Just looking to collect as much info as possible on what others have done. I realy like Matt's vert cage maybe I'll contact him too.

cusco cages are i believe 1.5" just like 90% of all the cages that get put into s13 cars....because of the weight of the car you dont need to go much bigger tubing unless you plan on enetering a rally which uses fia specs.
i will e-mail you some pics tonight.
thanks,

Not sure all cuscos are approved. Check tube thickness and material first.
No dash dodger either.

A cusco cage will be for looks only, the bolt points are the weak link so it really doesn't matter what size they are, its still not as strong as a welded cage. If its for show 1.5 should more then do, that also is the spec required for FD so it even should pass tech at most track days.
