Since it's finally getting warm here, It's about time to install the lsd. Baught it from teh group buy, for the KAAZ 2-way solid lsd. I remember someone saying 30% is pretty good for a streetable feel yet "fun". Just curious as to what everyone else had.

I thought they came from the factory with something like an 80% lockup and were adjustable from there.

iirc you can change the plate setup to increase or decrease the lock up power

This is true. They come with 80% and you can change to 100, 60, and maybe one setting lower, but I daily drive my car and I have no complaints about the 80 setting. It also worked well at the last drift day. Depending on what you use your car for, what kind of weather you drive in, and maybe what kind of clutch you have, you might be better off with a different setting.

When i bought my new solid diff from kaaz, Ray told me they come from the factory at 100% lock.

If you want 30% lock, get a VLSD, that's how hard they lock.

Hmm, while I have heard differently, I have spoken with Ray in the past and believe him to be a trustworthy source of information. I stand corrected.

I daily drive my new Solid unit from Kaaz at 100% locking. I love it. People look at me weird in parking lots, sounds like Im crushing bones in my diff. AWESOME peformance though...

Hi,
The unit you bought through the group buy deal was all shipped out
as 100% lock (preset at the factory). We only ship out a diff at
different locking rate whenever there is a request from customer.
The lock rate choice is up to you on how you use your vehicle.
If your car is for daily driving and weekend drifting or roadracing
use, we recommend 80% lock. Especially with a 235 or 245 rear
tires, this set up works great for daily driving use. If you are into
drifting heavily, then leave it at 100% lock but use wide tires.
Best Regards,
Kaaz USA Staff :D
