Im gonna have to ship some bulk items.
Ups is charging a ridiculous price. What company do you use to ship?
Items such as header? Engine block , exhaust, ect ect.

Engines, transmissions, differentials, etc, are best shipped via a freight carrier. Find a pallet, strap item to pallet, drop it off at the carrier and you're good to go.

Exhausts and stuff like that can be shipped via greyhound, though I'd imagine UPS wouldn't be too bad as long as it's a 2+ piece exhaust.

I wouldn't be to sure about that. I just tried to ship an AC condensor cross country and USPS/UPS/FedEx and they wanted $100 to ship. 2+ peice exhaust is right around the same size and probably heavier.

You could also try trucking companies. Sometimes you can get real lucky. IE, $100 lucky for an engine on a pallet. That ain't bad.

FedEx has always been reasonable for me. I paid 20 bucks to ship a bumper to California from Florida . Also paid 17 to ship a spoiler to Georgia. If you have a FedEx account you get a discount also.

I like using USPS for wheels. The mass shipper that is on paypal is very cost effective and easy to use. (4 wheels in 4 boxes usually 60-80 bucks depending on where it goes)

I have used greyhound, but for some reason I just don't have much faith in it being safe. Could just be me being paranoid, but it isn't my favorite.

Yes, if you are going to use Greyhound, make sure you package it really good and get fragile stickers, etc...
Ask me how I know.

LOL. I got a front lip shipped to me via Greyhound. When I got to the terminal, the lip was bent in half standing in the corner. It was cracked in 2 places. Yes, it could have been packaged a lot better from the shipper, but they obviously had no regard for the condition of the cargo.

Greyhound actually insures all shipments up to $100 though, and more insurance is not too much.

I guess it depends on what you're shipping also. Something like a header is a lot more durable than a lip, for example.

Shipped some wheels and exhaust through both usps and ups for only around $50. That paypal shipper thing someone else mentioned is the shit. Just put in weight, sometimes you don't even need to enter dimensions.

Bought a bride which was shipped greyhound, which only cost 50 as well.

If its small in size bt heavy, USPS flat rate.

I've always found that FedEx/ups was more expensive than USPS in general.

When it comes to smaller lighter objects I would agree anything else I think ups is better. Also if you ship to a business address ups is a lot cheaper.

It also helps if you have one of the main facilities near you to ship stuff out of, since those ups stores charge out the ass. Never let them package your shit they will rape you no lube on the prices.

I just shipped lowering springs from tn to kentucky and it cost me 30 something bucks with usps . The large flat rate boxes are too small for all 4. I mean wtf!
