OK strange problem I have here. I just finished installing Ac in my ls1 swap 89 coupe. Everything works fine blows cold. but I noticed my 123 blower settings worked and my 4max didn't. ON 3 you could barely feel air moving. so I installed another one I had. On this one 4blows awesome, it freezes me out. But 123 don't even work....any ideas from anyone who has dealt with this?
I'm about to crack open the spare and check solder

If 123 aren't working and only 4 work.
It's the resistor they are cheap brand new paid like 20 bucks for my s14 from the dealer.

On a s14 it is inside the blower motor. The blower motor on a s14 is located behind/under the glove box

I had one that only worked on 4. And over time it started to not work. I changed the resistor which seems to be the most common thing but it still did not work. So out of frustration and boredom I took down the blower motor. I took it apart and found tons of sand, dirt, some leaves and half a twix wrapper all stuck in there. I dumped all the dirt out, washed the foam filter, and lubed all the moving parts and now it works on every setting and has since for the past two years.
Might try that and see if it helps. If anything getting all that dirt and shit out would be beneficial anyway so you aren't breathing it in when it does work.
