So I've been working with this DIF controller off and on for about two days now and can't figure out what to do. I have everything hooked up as the manual shows but my fans won't work if my temp sensor is connected.

I have done the programming to E for Nissan and the fans pulsed 4 times to confirm programming.

I have a 1990 240SX with S13 Blacktop SR20 if that means anything.

I have the It set up like this:
Controller +12V Batt --> 2amp fuse --> Battery
Controller Ign On --> Radio Ign Switch
Controller Man. Switch --> Not Connected
Controller A/C Switch --> Not Connected
Controller Sensor + --> White Wire coming out of Coolant Temp Sensor
Controller Sensor - --> Black Wire coming out if Coolant Temp Sensor
Controller White wire is connected to the Fans Ground Wire
Controller Black wire is grounded
And Fans positive wire is connected to a 30amp fuse than the battery.

The part that gets me is the fans work perfectly if the sensor wires are not connected to the controller. So when the sensor connection is open the fans will come on. I than went onto doing the Controller Sensor - to a chassis ground than the Controller Sensor + to the battery. The fans did not come on because the circuit was closed than. Once I disconnected the Controller Sensor + from the battery and opened the circuit the fans would turn on.
So this means the Sensors + and - would have to operate as there would be power to the sensor keeping the circuit closed while warming up and once it reached the point which the fans should come on the circuit would trip and open up and switch the fans on. Than once it cooled down enough would reconnected and close the circuit again. Right?
Any reason why this isn't happening with my controller?
Also once is the sensor wires are connected to the controller and the engine is running the controller won't turn on at all.

Only when the engine is off and the ignition is turned to on will the fans work with the sensor wires connected. But once I start up... Nothing.:facepalm:

Any help is extremely appreciated. I'm struggling on this one and it's driving me nuts. :rant2:
