Hey guys,
Figured I would share my KA24DETT build! The car will be running tomorrow night. We only have a few hours in fabrication into it and only a few more left.

Why? Because I can. This build is basically to shut up people who throw on kits or just drop in bigger motors and think their car is fast. The car is being labeled the 2JZEATER.
Anyone who knows me already knows that I build things out of the ordinary, the last car I built was a rear mounted y33 Q45.

To cover some concerns: The BMC will be dele ted and I will be running the new Wilwood kit for my brakes.

I am full time diesel mechanic/shop owner and took the idea off some of the turbo kits we have installed in the past. Basically we have a T04E feeding a T70 turbo. This motor will be pushed until it blows, we are hoping for the 600+hp range.

Other turbo installed:

Piping fabbed up, not welded yet.

Downpipe will only be about 5" long and go right out under the car.

I will keep updating as the build goes. Lots of fab pics on the way!

And a picture of my hood that I just had done. This was pre-clear and the pictures really do not do it justice.

You have the piping backwards. The big compressor feeds the inlet of the smaller compressor.

Trust me, we built one for my bosses car:

Also, why use two old-technology turbos? And an eBay exhaust manifold?

I hope you have some big-boy head studs in that thing, otherwise say hello to several blown headgaskets.

I'm loving the Subaru symbol in the center of your Nissan hood. Also, those are E's in the word technology, is it too late to go back and not make yourself look retarded?

Poorman is right, unless by go til it blows you mean the tiny turbo's compressor wheel destroying all your fab work. Either way looks cool get some video!

No worries. We are studded already and both turbo are hybrids with garret shafts and wheels. long story for the rebuilds and why they are like that...

and we caught the piping misshap last night and said quits for the night. all piping is now done.

Really hope you get that piping figured out. IIRC, there is a really interesting KA24E twin turbo thread on KA-T.org you should check out. Us other fellow KA-T guys wouldn’t want you thinking everyone who spends a lot of their hard earned money and time wrenching in a garage are lazy or anything.

Why? Because I can. This build is basically to shut up people who throw on kits or just drop in bigger motors and think their car is fast. The car is being labeled the 2JZEATER. That’s a pretty arrogant considering the kind of power 2JZ swapped 240’s and Supra’s make without breaking a sweat. Maybe you should start with something a little more realistic….say “B18EATER.”

Build the motor right the first time, and you shouldn’t have much of an issue making that power consistently.

I figured there might be some confusion on the label, my buddy has a 2JZ Supra that has plates 2JZPWR, so I'm going to get 2JZEATR.

As for building the motor right the first time, we have a completely built KA waiting to be dropped in over winter. I have 5 KA's laying around at the moment, I'm not scared to push one to the limits. This is by far my first KA/KA-T Build.

Not trying to be an ass or anything but why waste money on a motor that wasnt worth modding in the first place there is alot better motors to choose from that can hold way higher boost from the factory and you name this the 2jz eater a 2j can hold 500-800hp on stock bottom end with just headgasgets, headstuds and bigger turbo but you have a fully built motor or we hope so and trying to get 600+ good luck with realiability. I would have been happier to see a s2000 motor in there turbod. ka motors arnt worth their weight in scrap but its your money just dont complain when your kicking yourself for doing it. But i do have to admit it is unusal.

You can have a fully built ka block from 2000-2500 capable of pushing a lot of power! Other motors cost about that in stock trim... So best bang for the buck

This build thread is not in the build threads section.

I said back in April that I was not moving threads that were posted in the wrong place, just locking.
4 months later, we have our first person to miss it.
